Probably the best sashimi I've had outside japan. It really is down to the quality of the fish and the sushi chef and they were both 5 stars. Then you add great service to the whole experience and it's really hard to beat. Got the dinner deluxe sashimi platter and it was melt in your mouth super tender and delicious. Everything from the miso soup, to the tea to sushi rice was perfect. I think the people complaining about price vs quality probably are roll "experts" and don't really understand the intricacies of a great plate of sashimi. So glad I got to try it. I'll be back next time I'm in Toronto. Arigato!

Very high quality fish and dishes, it’s a good place if you are looking for quality or haven’t had good sushi/sashimi in a while. Low price is not something you would be looking for here - so if you’re looking for a quick bite during work, I suggest you steer away since you may be more focused on the price than the food. Ambience was quiet when I went, but there is extremely limited seating. It’s very tight, and I think there’s about 4-5 tables in total that I saw. They were very busy with takeout so you may be bumped into by delivery drivers if you sit near the door. Nonetheless, it’s perfect for a casual lunch or dinner where your brain has been going towards high quality sushi. We ordered the chirashi and the sashimi don. Fish was very fresh, and it is exactly what you want from a high quality sushi restaurant. The picture looks like the dish is small, but it did fill me and my friend up pretty well. Judging by the other reviews, it seems like they kept up with their quality. Staff was very accommodating and was very friendly. Great experience, I would come again for sure!!!

If possible I wud have given zero stars. How do you miss notes about allergies. We clearly said no sesame seeds and they still sprinkled sesame seeds all over the rice in sashimi. The whole dish had to be thrown away. The lettuce in the salad was rotte, there 2 different coloured wasabi (1 was like neon paste) and there was a fish bone in one of the pieces. The kappa maki rolls tasted good, but the dipping sauce with the agedashi tofu cud be more flavourfull. The experience with them being careless about allergies just shows how much they care.

I used to be a big fan of this place, but my experience today shows me that this place is either without experienced staff, cutting corners, and/or careless. We'd ordered delivery and I specifically said no sesame seeds on my chirashi supreme because I can't eat them for health reasons. Not only were there sesame seeds all over the rice (I had to forgo the rice), but we got two different kinds of wasabi (I don't know what that neon paste was, but it's not wasabi), a fish bone in the sashimi, and a rotten lettuce salad. The fish quality was still good, but the preparation was so bad that it was really unsatisfying. Sad, this place used to be good, but at this grade of quality, they're barely keeping up with the All You Can Eat places.

Ordered 2 large party trays ($100 each - $5 more than their online menu price). Price discrepancy was a bit off-putting but that's OK. The ingredients were fresh and rice was perfectly cooked. I felt like I got decent value. Would I return? Perhaps. It's a bit on the pricier side. Found a large bone in one of the salmon maki rolls though - never had that happen before in my life.

Portion sizes are a bit small, but the food, ambience and especially the customer service was incredible. Our server was super sweet and attentive (one of the best I’ve ever had) and the food was incredible. Most places don’t pay attention to certain dietary restrictions, but this woman ensured everything was perfect. They even serve green tea with the meal! A little extra touch that goes a long way.

Japango is really small restaurant but the sushi is great. Good selection, fresh and tasty fish. Plating is also very cute. My friend has his own set of chopsticks with his name on it which I think is a great idea for the ones that come often.
