Curious Hair Boutique - Calgary

This was my first visit to the salon and i absolutely loved it. Sarina is a great hair stylist, she is professional and guides you very well.

Tony has been cutting my hair for more than 10 years and always does a fantastic job. Most barbers / hairdressers struggled working with my receding hair line, but Tony has lots of education and training and knew exactly what to do.

I would first off like to say I went to this salon feeling like my hair was never going to look good ever... I had been to a few previous hair salons and just was losing hope on my hair. I had a consultation with Kat (one of the owners and IBE specialist) to potentially install Invisible Bead Hair Extensions (IBE). Kat was not pushy like some stylists to just make money. She gave me options on what we could do with my hair that would best fit my lifestyle. After doing my own research and in speaking to Kat and viewing her Instagram showcasing her work I decided IBE extensions would be the option I would go with. At first I was quite hesitant because they are an investment $$. I can truthfully say it was an investment I do not regret (and I get a lot of compliments too!!!). My hair has never felt better or looked healthier. I have had several types of extensions but these are the BEST and Kat takes her hair education seriously and is what they call a Master in the technique for these specific hair extensions. The hair and products that are used at this salon are high quality! I am very excited to continue wearing the IBE Extensions and have already seen my natural hair improve drastically. My daughter is 5 years old and we had visited the usual children's hair salons in our area. The cuts were fine but I was never fully satisfied. I took her over to Curious and we saw Ruth. From the moment we walked in my daughter and I were treated so well. Ruth took my daughters choppy cut from a previous salon and evened it out and made her hair look amazing. She took her time and paid attention to detail. She made my daughter love going to the salon. I have watched Ruth with other clients during my time spent with Kat getting my extensions done. I have also followed her work on her Instagram. She is a very talented hairdresser that I would recommend checking out! The salon is very clean and absolutely adorable. The receptionist is kind and very helpful. There are a few other staff members there that I have seen that are very professional. The gentleman Tony who works in the salon (also talented from what I have seen) is always kind and polite when I have been in. Check out this fabulous salon! What are you waiting for? You could have great hair too!!!

I’ve been seeing Tony for my hair needs for 5 years now. He does a phenomenal job blending my hair cut so that it suits my natural hair texture. The colours he does for my balayage and highlights are always very flattering on my complexion and I’m always leaving absolutely obsessed with my new hair. The boutique is always clean and lively. The other assistant stylists are always so kind, and helpful. Curious Boutique on 85th Ave. is phenomenal!!

I don't live close to the salon but I truly enjoy making the trip to see Kat and Tony at Curious. They have done an amazing job with the space. It's bright, clean and has the best vibe. Kat never disappoints with my color (balayage) or my cut!! I saw her today and this momma left feeling fabulous :) Thanks Kat!!

This salon is exactly what we were looking for! We just moved here and found this salon on Google and we are so please with it. Everyone was very nice and the price are good ? My 15 years old daughter had an haircut that Tony did and it is wonderful and we came back for a balayage that Ruth did and it look amazing ?. Thanks again for your good services, your smiles, your kindness and your talent! We just found our new hair dresser.

I had worked here for a few years. Kat & Tony are outstanding mentors. I have never been so thankful for such a learning experience as well as being respected. This is by far the most beautiful salon I have ever step foot in. Every single stylist cares so much about each and every client that walks into the salon. 10/10 recommend coming for your next visit if you haven’t already. Amazing team.
