Couture is a French word means creation of high fashionable
clothes to a client specific requirements and measurement to
become A one of kind outfit.
My couture passion started early when I design and made my
first dress at the age of 15 consulting my older sister who was
a professional Dressmaker running her business at that time, that’s
when I realized how unique is the sewing world and design. After graduating from University in 1990 I joined my sister in her business and developed an exceptional experience and knowledge in Dressmaking and Alterations which is rare to find in any Alberta Alterations shops.
So proud to call Calgary home since 2002 providing professional Alterations services specialize in Bridal Alterations ,Dressmaking and Design .
Alteration for most designer wedding dresses and high-end Evening Gown is not an easy task due to the Design complexity and delicate fabrics and it requires a huge understanding for dress pattern and the best way to alter it without effecting the original design .

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Maisoon's work is magic. My wedding dress was crochet lace so I was nervous to have it altered. I did a lot of research, and Maisoon was the one who I trusted the most. I never brought anyone with me for my alterations because of covid; however, Maisoon made me feel so welcomed and cared for that it didn't matter! She wanted to make sure I was happy and that it was perfect. Thank you Maisoon!

She has great attention to detail, and she clearly holds every dress to a very high standard. I picked my dress up yesterday and will be getting married in two weeks, and I am so incredibly happy with how it turned out! I would recommend Maisoon to anyone looking to have a dress altered, as well as anyone looking to have a custom dress made.

She was recommended to me by the owner of Pearl & Dot, and to this day I am so grateful that she pointed me in the right direction. Maisoon is an expert with fabric and meticulous at what she does. She cares about her customer's happiness and will work hard to make sure that you have the perfect fit for your day. I had lost weight leading up to my wedding, and Maisoon resized my dress 2x just to make sure that it was perfect. She knew exactly the best place to take it in, so not to alter the look of the dress and the placement of the lace. She also hemmed the front of my dress to perfection, but, only tacked the 3 layers at the back of the dress, as per my request. Maisoon provides her brides with years of wisdom of working with all kinds of dresses and fabrics, but, is still happy to accommodate the individual wants and needs of each bride she works with. She is sweet, humble, and knows how to make you feel both comfortable and beautiful! I will 100% choose Maisoon again for any special occasion dress, and highly recommend her to all ladies looking for a professional dress designer/maker!

After rashly purchasing a beaded and patterned wedding dress 3-4 sizes big for me at a sample sale (not realizing how complicated alterations are), she worked her magic and made it fit like a glove. She took great care and caution in restitching the beading and pattern for me so it looked completely uninterrupted. She also made and added on the ruffled off-the-shoulder sleeves of my dreams (with elastic for lots of movement!). Highly recommend her.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I cannot recommend Maisoon enough!! From our first meeting to fixing my dress after the wedding, Maisoon was amazing. She is truly talented at what she does!! I bought a consignment wedding dress and it was 3 sizes too big. But to top it off the whole top was delicate bead work. I still don't know how she was able to take so much material out and have the top still look stunning. My dress fit like a glove. And her prices are very fair, especially for the quality of work she does. My wedding day was one of the most special days of my life and she truly helped me feel like a princess. Would HIGHLY recommend!!
