Grew up in the area, Love it because mainly professionals and decent families lives there. No violent incidents like other places. Very convenient. But, LORD HAVE MERCY. I have seen the building at 30 Vinci crescent come from a smelling fresh once you entered the outside doors, to being worse than a building run for the homeless. I know, because i work there. There buildings are kept up better. The building is filthy, the floors are not swept, dirty mops are used living streaks when its dry. Blood spot was left on a door last year for weeks, and after it was reported, i was told "why didn't you report it sooner" NO you should be doing your job weekly sanitizing everything wiping door handles etc. I have refused to sit on my balcony because the once lush green lawn is dry and dingy. There's garbage all around. Very unappealing to watch. I have refused to invite and hold any dinners at my house for three years now, because the place is always dirty. There's a carpet in the back entrance that was used in previous years and has salt etc. on it filthy with dog hairs and dirt, and for some reason no one in charge seems to think that there's something wrong with it. I am ashamed and wish i could just up and live but its so close to work. I used to enjoy coming home, not any more.

Our building was recently purchased by Compten. The new Super is fine, but the management is terrible. Entry notices are falsely dated, delivered with less than 24 hours notice every time, they give date RANGES instead of specific dates with specific times (illegal). They attempted to intimidate us into replacing a counter-top that was damage from the previous tenant threatening to sue us if we didn't pay before even bothering to contact our previous super or looking at our Entry Report which listed the damage. I fought back by contacting the Landlord and Tenant Board, they gave me the information I needed to put in the letter including specific segments of the RTA to list and we found photos from when we moved in but we were also required to provide signed witness statements. Without producing the entry report, a landlord can't come after you for damages, and general wear and tear are NOT the responsibility of the tenant. Their response was simply that they would not be pursuing us for funds. No apology, no acknowledgement of the illegal behavior they engaged in or anything further. To top it off, their response would be barely intelligible as English. The supers in their buildings seem to be okay but the management are a bunch of rude bullies who have no interest in taking care of their tenants. Had I known Compten were the company buying our apartment complex, I would have moved out before they took over so as to avoid them entirely. EDIT: MORE THAN 2 YEARS LATER after we left and we are still on the stupid door entry call system so we get phonecalls late at night of drunks trying to buzz into the building. This is absolute garbage and we've complained multiple times. I was told by the Office staff that I should just change my phone number. How is that EVER an acceptable response?!

We moved out last year from one of their properties last year. They started claiming false charges on account of damages to stove. They provided new stove 3 years ago and expected to receive in same condition. We left the stove in working condition and in good shape with normal wear and tear. They even hired collection agency to force us into payment. Stay away from them.

Happy to no longer rent with them! They are incredibly greedy and dishonest landlords - if you move into their Yonge/Eg buildings, be prepared for construction round the clock, insane noise pollution, disgusting amounts of dirt/dust, break-ins, broken elevators and no heat in the winter. Avoid them at all costs!

I'd give them zero stars if I could. Horrible communication, horrible condition of the common area, there is black mold in the hallway. We were told that the unit had a fresh paint but there were cracks in the paint. Beware! They going to charge you the last month payment before you even sign a lease.

Hello there: You can pass it over to you management/owners of the property. Just received a written notice at my door after my request to cancel the 2nd parking spot. Not just I need to pay two extra months for the 2nd, additional parking spot we have no longer use for and while we are still paying for the other parking spot but you also charging $35 in administrative fees! For what: for making two clicks on your computer in the tenant's file to reduce the number of parking spots from two to one?! Ridiculous and outrageous! You are also including an additional parking spot into the rental category and demanding a two months notice as if we are moving out?! So two months charge for an empty parking spot to an existing tenant who has never been late on any payments for five years being with you and giving you rental income and just who needs to cancel one of the two parking spots because his son has gone to study overseas...??? It is just plain MONEY GRAB!! You people do not have decency or respect to your tenants. Even two months payment for an empty spot is ridiculous. I understand that the tenant has to notify the landlord two months in advance before moving out as you need to make repairs and find a new tenant. But charging the same for the extra parking space... Is there an end to your greediness?? I doubt this message will get to your management or let alone the owners but anyway: SHAME on you guys! I do not need your explanations or excuses. I dropped a cheque with a written notice to your super's office anyway, it is not going to kill me financially but left with a very sour feeling about your treatment of the tenants...TOTALLY DISGUSTED!

Compten will do everything they can to rip you off when you are leaving. They will do an apartment inspection and provide you with an inflated quote including unnecessary charges. I was charged $350 to have a $75 vanity replaced with an install time of 20 minutes. So unless they had brain surgeons installing the unit the labour costs were highly inflated. They also charged $750 - $1000 to paint apartment (which only required touch up painting) which I said I would paint myself and asked for the paint colour and received less than 24 hours before vacating). But the kicker is that they were intending on renovating my unit completely and would have been painting and replacing the fixtures anyway. Do not for any reason rent with this company. They are an unethical money grubbing thieves with zero customer service skills. They train their employees to steal as much money as possible from their tenants.
