About CommStream

CommStream is a Canadian owned and operated company delivering world-class telecommunication and entertainment services to residential, business and public sector customers throughout rural Manitoba. Currently these services are only available to larger, urban communities in the province.

CommsStream got its start in Gillam, Manitoba, in 2001 when it started providing high speed internet services to that community’s residents. It grew into several other Northern communities before acquiring its first cable TV operation, just outside of Winnipeg. It has recently acquired several additional cable operations throughout the province giving it a true provincial footprint in Manitoba.

CommStream is now expanding its product offering to include digital TV and Telephone (VoIP) services in addition to high speed internet. Recently, CommStream started to plan out a Fiber to the Home (FttH) conversion of the communities it services providing truly world-class services.

Jen and Kate are the best in connecting with the customer and great sales rep, I haven't had any problems when speaking with them all in all great service provider and company that I have had the pleasure to speak to amazing work, I'm glad I connected with comm Stream today.

Shola, the installer, was not only a pleasure to deal with but also extremely knowledgeable and helpful! I cannot stress enough how fantastic he was and how painless he made the installation process. I cannot recommend him high enough!

The people who are leaving negative reviews either have a splitter, or don't know how to reset their modem. Had the service for a month and has only gone down for a few minutes at a time, went down today because the guy was doing upgrades and I phoned tech support and they let me know what was going on right away, even phoned back after to verify that we were online again.

This company is awful to deal with, they said in the last week of October they would send a modem and now it’s December and they just terminated our service because they are saying that we are to be blamed for not getting good service….. absolutely they worst service ever

In the short amount of time this company has been providing service in our area, they have dramatically improved our access to the internet!! We went from 2 -5 down and 1-2 up to 96 down and 8 up !!! It has changed how and what kind of technology we can use!! Their customer service is so great! Any issues we have had have been addressed immediately and fixed right away and if a technician is needed, they are sent out the very next day!! Awesome company

Terrible customer service, specifically from Kate who everyone seems to make such great comments about. Half the time our data limit wouldn’t be reset at the beginning of the month and when we would complain about this they would refuse to give us any more data and kept telling us we β€œmust need a bigger plan”. The services they offer are already overpriced for what you are getting so we refused to pay even more every month. When we did have outages due to issues on their end, which we experienced a number of times, we never received any refunds for days lost unable to use the internet at home. I’ve heard from numerous other customers nothing but complaints. Glad we were able to switch to Starlink. Will never recommend commstream to anyone.
