I'd give a zero star if i could. The manager at this branch I believe her name is Carolyn Mcleary was extremely rude to me last time I went in. Every time i go in, theres a long line with 1 teller. So I asked if she could help the line rather than sitting in her office while doing nothing, she got extremely defensive and was extremely aggressive and condescending. For cibc to even employ her is an absolutely a disgrace!

I went in to open a promotional bank account with Simon and he was personable, very informative, and professional. There was an issue with the promotion and I got into contact with the general manager, Mrs. Tarrabin, and she handled the situation very well and kept me informed about what was going on. The employees at this branch have demonstrated that they genuinely care about customer service, as every representative I have spoken to has shown their passion for their career.

From my main bank I withdrew two somewhat larger sized bank drafts on a cheque that was already held for 5 days. The teller was polite and capable and friendly. I attempted to deposit into a different institution and was told that the cheques were post dated to the next weekday "business day. I returned to that main bank the ask about the fore date and he said that he would be able to make a new other cheque for todays date, but that post dating is CIBC's policy. I skipped the offer as too much POS time was spent at banking on my day off, I contacted the call enter but they were inconsistent with the way that real "things " could be done. I am waiting for CIBC's response by email, as I work during the day, and discussing some large corporation's stupidity does not earn for me. Will update the communication.

1 of 2 branches in St. Albert . One branch has closed counter service due to Covid. This branch has 1 teller open and a line 10 persons deep. Poor customer service. Also needed to renew a mortgage this year, paying more then I did 5 years ago. What a rip, this bank takes all the benefit of low interest rate and then further sucks what ever it can from you.

While the tellers are always friendly and helpful, they frequently are understaffed leading to long line ups. Rather than jumping in to help thin a long line, the manager only seems concerned with recommending that you do your transaction at the ATM. I get that it’s probably her marching orders from head office but I am online because I have a transaction that I can’t use the ATM or online for. Several times I’ve waited more than 45 minutes in line and I’ve finally decided that my time is worth more than CIBC thinks it is.

Whatever you do, do not get financial advice from Eilyn oropesa, we were only taking over our mother's mortgage since she is passing away. She gave us the worst advice, told us we needed full approval from them, only to have a LAWYER tell us we never needed any of that. We just needed to sign a form and done. What a waste of time. I will never bank with them ever again!!!

The worst customer service. The manager is rude, gets defensive when questioned, and very unwilling to do anything other than direct you to the ATM when asked to help. There is never more than two tellers, typically it’s just one teller, and the teller has little to no support from the other staff while dealing with the long line of customers alone. It’s a very poorly run branch, I have never left here feeling good about the experience, disappointed and frustrated are the norm after a trip to the bank. Looking into other business banking options after many frustrated years of dealing with this branch.

Pathetic, useless customer service - both online and in person. Bank employees are abusing their access to account information. In addition, paying bills through online banking at CIBC just got a whole lot more expensive. Was charged a $30 fee for making a bill payment from my savings account - that didn't have money in it, to a bill payment company ( was set to savings instead of checking account ) - point is they rip people off. No other bank charges for a customer withdrawing money , if their are no funds in the account. I proceeded to make the payment from my checking account. Trying to get a hold of any person is pointless unless you have hours to waste on being on hold. Absolutely not recommendable.
