they were very interested in the beginng when they got my 230,000 pension then when they changed people it was aweful thank god ill be leaving kamloops in spring then moving all my accounts to bmo wheres theres trust....good luck to all with cibc there horrible in Sask too..

Lines are long which is fine but the workers are slow and inconsistent. There is almost a line out the door and there’s only one worker present. Not the first time this has happened either. I’ve been sitting in line for 30 mins and I still haven’t been helped. Ridiculous. Always makes me contemplate to switch banks. If you are in a rush, don’t go to this bank.

Positives: Ira is always very helpful and is easy to talk with. I highly recommend seeing her for any inquiries you have. The instant teller machines, which I am not used to using are convenient if you want to skip the line and the human tellers. Negatives: on multiple occasions I have had to wait in line for 30 minutes or more. All except one teller have either been one or all of the following: rude, treating you like you are dumb, unhelpful, disrespectful. If it wasn't for Ira and her helpfulness, I would be switching back to a previous or new bank.

Waited in line behind no one for about 5 minutes while the customer service agent walked about without greeting me or informing me she would be with me in a moment etc. Upon (finally) being "helped" she told me she didn't understand how, what or why changed had been made to my account, consulted with someone else before finalizing that she was of no assistance. I had to to request to speak to someone who knew what they were doing because no one else came to help and that option was not offered. Once I got to speak to someone else they also said they couldn't help and there was nothing they could do. Overall, really terrible customer service (an industry I have spent 15 years working in) and staff without people skills. I would highly reccomend doing your banking at a different branch if not another bank all together - as the customer service agent on the phone was (though more pleasant to speak to) equally unhelpful in resolving the issue at hand.

I went in to make a deposit and inquired about another service. I was told by one staff that I would need an appointment and they were booking into the second week of September. The teller got me in to see someone within 10 minutes. I was greatly impressed.

Way too invasive and time wasting. I was changing coins in clear wrappers to cash. First I was told I had to be an account holder, which I am. Then I had to swipe my card. Then I had to give him my business name and address and postal code. Then I had to write my name on a piece of paper. Then he had to look something up. It should not take nearly 10 minutes, and more identification than getting on a plane, to change a roller quarters for a 10-dollar bill.

I went to go get a loan and was discriminated against because I can't wear a mask. The manager didn't even care about my concerns with their policy and wouldn't take a formal complaint. I will be taking my money out and giving my business to another bank after almost 20 years who doesn't discriminate. I've had countless other issues over the years with CIBC and just feel they aren't a bank who values or cares about their customers. As others have stated every time you go into this location the staff stand around and ignore people rather than helping customers. A small line of just a couple people will take them like half an hour to get through with several client service reps visible.
