β β β β β The quality of service is getting worse day by day.
Had my mortgage with this branch for 10 years, renewed it 3 times - all was good. Not this time though!
I wanted to renew my mortgage with CIBC as I was their customer for many years. I expected same service I had 5 years ago. However, instead of professionals I was reaching greedy mortgage "specialist" who was not professional at all.
In fact, she lied, she tweaked information, she threatened with high closure fees, she provided false statements. She and her buddies kept calling us every evening and bombarded with stupid offers of " the best" rate. I felt like I am dealing with a cheap car dealership or with Asian flea-market seller, not reputable bank. We asked them not to call us anymore, but they kept calling, pretending they were not aware about our request. Very dishonest, insincere people. As a result I do not trust CIBC anymore.
Also, it sounds like all their mortgage "specialists" are temp employees from another country. (Outsourcing our jobs?) May be that is the reason their service is so poor.

I applied for a mortgage loan almost 2 years ago. I was told it was approved and to wait for papers to sign the following week. Nothing ever came. Good thing I had a backup bank or I wouldβve lost the house. They contacted me one year later asking if I still wanted the money. I said I could use it for renovating the house. Well , now Itβs been almost 2 years and I had 4 different people STILL handling my application . I even told them to stop calling as I am not interested anymore but I keep getting calls from different people asking for different things ...I have never seen such an unprofessional , mismanaged place. Definitely do not recommend CIBC

β β β β β I have been to this branch twice, and both times it's been a bad experience. The first time, my husband and I went in to sign paperwork. No one could find it. Then we were asked by another employee if we made an appointment, no one told us we needed one.
Once the paperwork was found, the lady handling our file seemed like she couldn't even care less about us, like we had inconvenienced her.
This was a bad first impression as my husband is changing banks.
On my second visit, I went in to deposit some cash. They had about 8 people in line and 1 teller working... But they had an ever so important greeter at the front door.
We left and I will never deal with this branch again!!

β β β β β I experienced very bad service from Brij Raj. I had difficulty understanding him and he did not explain anything clearly too me. Iβm never coming back here again, CIBC is the worst bank in Maple Ridge. After the service from him I am now moving banks. Nobody should be treated the way he treats his customers, he has a terrible attitude and was extremely rude. Abysmal customer service
