★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I stayed here with a group of close to 30 people in October. It was the campsite we stayed at during our kayaking trip. It's an incredibly beautiful campsite. It's hard to believe it's a 15 minute boat ride from Vancouver Island where civilization is, because it feels very cut off and remote; but I saw that as a good thing! It's a great place to go to feel part of nature, and just look up at the stars and watch the amazing sunrises and sunsets. There was a lot of room for our kayaks, and there were platforms for all of our tents. You can't book these platforms ahead, so you do have to hope that they aren't all taken when you get there (there are a couple other campsites available on Wallace Island). There is an outhouse in good condition with toilet paper and hand sanitizer supplied. Since the island is so narrow, you can easily explore both sides of the island. I highly recommend checking out this campsite. I have lived on Vancouver Island all my life, and this is hands-down one of the most beautiful spots I have ever been to. PS: if you go to the northernmost spot on the island, you will see that there are rocks over the water. I CAN CONFIRM - if you jump out far enough, the water is deep enough to jump off the rocks! And it is a blast!! Just be very very careful! PS 2: I've included some drone photos I captured of Wallace Island. It is a beautiful island, and I also recommend checking out the history of the island because it is fascinating!
