★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Really good campground! Very accessible because it's right on the highway. There are lots of campsites available on this campground, but there's not a whole lot of separation from other campsites in some parts. Other than that if you're looking for a good campground on Vancouver Island, this is a good option!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lovely spot! Clean, well maintained, friendly, and accommodating. Dog friendly. The river is a 5 minute walk from the campground. (May take a little longer coming back, up hill but totally worth it.) Tranquil morning while the dogs romped in the river, great way to start the day. Thank you Jeri & John for your hospitality.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Disappointing experience. Despite reserving and paying upfront for the campsite at arrival they couldn't retrieve our reservation. The unfriendly older lady told us that "she never makes mistakes" and that we had to pay (again). Even after I showed the credit card payment receipt there were no excuses from her side for this unfriendly behavior. My suggestion to use in the future an e-mail confirmation to avoid these kind of discussions was dismissed: "we don't do e-mail". Clearly not up to their task anymore. There are many more campsites on the Island that are far less expensive and much more friendlier than this one. Maybe that's the reason why it was almost empty in middle of peak season....

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 5 stars, spent the winter season here. Hated to leave, hosts are the kindest people. We had deer, quail, rabbits, 20+ different birds all come to our site. Great walk to the river. We will return!
