Camping in over flow campground on first-come-first-served basis. We have a child who has a life-threatening allergy to insect stings. Park Operator came and evicted a wasp infestation immediately! Awesome. Love the large wheelbarrows, which are shared around, to cart camping supplies from vehicles to campsites. Lovely beaches, enjoying swimming in the ocean, great hikes, and two beaches to explore. Absolutely a wonderful experience camping here. Highly recommended!

A great spot for families, solo campers or small group of friends. We stayed at one of the walk-in sites. There are wheel barrels near the ranger station you can take to bring your stuff to your site. It is not too far from the parking lot. All the sites have a raised tent pad, a fire pit, a picnic table and a VERY useful metal box to store your food and avoid the occasional sneaky raccoon that will want to steal your provisions. The bathrooms are spacious and are maintained very clean. Big plus! No showers, but really, it is camping afterall! There are drinking water taps available. This is a great spot. Even when it is full, it does not feel crowded. *Things to do There are a couple of short hikes that lead you to quiet and beautiful shell beaches that many times you find empty and can enjoy by yourself. The sunsets are amazing! Grab a towel, snacks and head to the main beach to enjoy it. Vegetation is beautiful, with arbutus tress, pines and seals, eagles, and wildlife around. We also saw kayakers and there is a day use area.

Beautiful campsite and very well maintained. We had the group spot and it was great - had a sink, food storage and pavilion with a fire pit and lots of picnic tables. Park staff were friendly and helpful and a short walk to beautiful shell beaches! We will be back!

We stayed at the group camping site. It's very convenient with its own large gazebo, with a sink and another tap for water right at your camp site. The only drawback is it's a bit of a walk on a rather steep uphill, where you need to carry your stuff from your car to the campsite, though they do provide wheelbarrows which help.

This is a generally fantastic BC parks site with some potential flaws. To begin with the positives, the park staff are laid back and friendly. They take great care of the place. Everything is well groomed. The detail work is excellent. There are great hiking trails and great ocean front views. The tent sites are the real star of the show. They overlook the water and have wooden platforms, meaning a flat sleeping surface and no puddles. The RV sites are OK. Mostly levelish and no views but there is an acceptable 30 to 50 feet between sites. A welcome and hard to find feature. The $25 price point is a bit steep compared to some better and cheaper spots, but it's not bad compared to any private campground anywhere in the region. There is no meaningful sun available in any of the RV sites, so you will get no power. Make sure you arrive with some charge. Also, there is no cell tower on Galiano, so only the three sites nearest to the water have internet. The two double sites next to them may also have a connection but they are $50 a night. Otherwise, and also with the tent sites, you will not have functional internet. Max stay of 14 days is restrictive, but par for BC parks. The 14 in and 1 out rule of Alberta parks is superior. The road in is also a bit rough and narrow with some low power lines. It is drivable but rigs over 30 feet will need extra patience. Overall a solid campgrounds. Your mileage may vary depending on power and internet needs especially, but most campgrounds are less good than this.

Beautiful white shell beaches and clean facilities. Staff do a great job of keeping it tidy. Nice campsites with platforms and fire pits.

I just passed by in a rainy day but it is beautiful. There are picnic areas plus the campground. I can imagine during summer must be amazing for swimming or paddled boarding.
