The Crane and Robin Restaurant

Restaurant is located in the same building as the Montegue harbour General store. The have a nice selection of tacos and sandwiches using a variety of seafood. Food was tasty and interesting. Portions were adequate. The bar has a good selection of interesting drinks as well. The patio seating was great with a nice view of the harbour. Great place to spend the evening.

Had fish seared Tacos and salmon salad. The hostess was quick and friendly. Very impressed. Was served quick and that was great. Hostess had the most energy out of anyone on this resturant team, she needs to be commended for that. Salad had too much dressing which of course I do reviews, so mentioned it when asked that it had too much dressing, as I could not handle the ZING of the dressing. 10 percent off. Ok thats fine, I get the point. Only ate half roughly. Wife was hungry after. She dumped the salad on my plate and I tried it she was right about the sauce level. Way too much! Tuna seared tacos were kind of bland. Would reccomend jalapeño, cilantro, red pepper, salsa or sour cream we’ll you don’t get these here...after being to mexico 5 times and Africa 7 you tend to like flavor. These had a neutral orange sauce which could be replaced by ketchup and mustard. Was edible but not very good for 17 dollars. Margarita was satisfactory though and quick. That makes them. Very friendly service. Had the corn chowder and salmon salad. Both were amazing. My partner had the seared tuna sandwich which he enjoyed.

Black bean veggie burger tastes pretty good, especially the bun and patty. Staffs are all very friendly, but the homemade ice tea is a bit too sour and tastes plain

Lovely location with great views across a protected bay. Hence the 2 stars. The menu is limited and the food was so bad we couldn’t eat more than a few bites. Mostly salt, horribly cooked with discordant flavours. Maybe the chef was just having a really bad day but be warned.

The amazing view of Montague Harbour alone is enough to want to come back again. The food and drinks seal the deal. The salmon sandwich was extremely fresh and delicious and both the dark & stormy and traditional margarita hit the spot! Nice staff, not a long wait, and an upbeat ambience.

Visiting from Vancouver where I am spoiled with vegan restaurants but I am visiting Galiano with three non-vegans. Came here expecting to eat a plain salad and fries but no! The Crane and Robin have a fresh, thoughtful, flavourful, creative menu. I was stoked to see all my vegan options. I had the curried cauliflower sandwich with the salad and a small corn chowder soup. My meal was AMAZING. And my three other friends loved their meals as well. One couldn’t get enough of the salmon chowder. The menu, food and drink, were very fairly priced. The atmosphere is captivating with the humming birds feeding next to you and sea otters swimming in the shallows with the beauty of the marina. Can’t forget to mention our fantastic server, Yasmine. She was perfectly attentive with great recommendations of the menu. Can’t wait to come back.

Yum! I was seated right away by friendly staff. I ordered a Diet Coke, which came in a can with a glass and ice separately, which I was really liked. I ordered tuna tacos (come in groups of 3) which were fresh and rich in flavour, especially with the house hot sauce and corn chowder which was chunky, wholesome and tasty. I loved the casual atmosphere and the amazing view overlooking the harbour. Definitely recommend!
