★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My family had a very wonderful time on their Kayak tour last weekend. Unfortunately the condition (windy with waves) that morning wasn't suitable for my wife on her own kayak so we separated from the group and went back to shore. Luckily, Christina was very helpful on arranging all three of us on a single kayak and she went above and beyond to take us back to rejoin the rest of the tour. Ben, our tour guide, had done a fantastic job from ramping us up with zero kayak experience to become quite comfortable on maneuvering along the shoreline. Their expertise on the tour plus their preparation of the equipment was exceptionally good. I would highly recommend their service to friends and families who plan to have a great time on Gailiano's water. I'd certainly want to join them again for a longer tour next time

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We were first time kayakers and were pretty nervous about the whole idea. Our guide Christina was excellent at being patient and reassuring, and pretty quickly we got over our anxiety and enjoyed the experience! Lots of beauty, a bunch of laughs, a bit of adventure. We'll be back for sure, highly recommend this!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We booked a double kayak for the afternoon and arrived a bit early to see if we could grab it earlier. It is a busy place (at least when we went) so we weren't able to get it any earlier. We were glad we had booked ahead though as we would not have had a kayak otherwise. The staff were friendly and helpful and gave us a quick crash course on kayak safety and water recovery. The equipment was in good shape and working order. We didn't do a tour as we wanted to do our own thing but the experience was still fantastic.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fantastic staff , boats are well maintained a wonderful way to see the local wildlife like seals otters and whales. You can either choose from a single kayak or double. A quick tutorial of water safety and self rescue at the beginning and you are on your way.
As with all sports and activities be conscious of everyone's physical abilities, as you will be dealing with tides and some current.
Make sure to bring water and sunscreen.

Seeing our paddles light up shimmers in the water while being out in the water under the soft glow of the moon was truly magical. I wish we would have been able to capture the bioluminescence on camera but it’s definitely something you have to experience in person.
Huge thank you to Christina for being such a kind, patient, and humorous guide. I felt reassured as a first-time kayaker. This was an amazing experience to say the least.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I am pleased to highly recommend Gulf Island Kayaking and specifically the Bioluminescence Night Tour. I went with some novice paddler friends and our guide Mikah (sp?) was patient and kind, with a focus on us having a positive experience where we learned about our surroundings, not only the biology but the historical and cultural significance of our tour visits. I was a bit nervous about being out on the water in the dark, but my night vision kicked in as the sun went down, and I enjoyed relaxing and gently paddling around with our group. Thank you Mikah!
