About Souris River Canoes
The Wilderness 18 was designed by Keith Robinson to give the more experienced paddler some added water speed while still retaining load capacity and stability. While we believe the needs of novice paddlers are best served in our Quetico line of canoes, we find many experienced trippers absolutely love the Wilderness 18.
Outfitters and park wardens alike, both in Canada and the U.S., swear by this canoe. It is deep as well as sleek and handles rough water well, even when heavily loaded. If you’ve earned your share of calluses at the end of a paddle and would like to arrive a little faster, this may be the canoe that will get you there.

I purchased my canoe in 2011. A Quetico 17 carbon- tec. It has been one of the best things I have ever owned period.
It has brought me and my family and friends on many adventures on lakes n rivers in Ontario.
It is the most stable canoe I have ever paddled. Two adults can stand up in the canoe and can fish and cast at same time without any feeling of a wobble.
It's tough. Ive brought it on many exploring/fishing trips and it just performs and holds its integrity.
Its light. Ive carried, with backpack gear, for 1.8km without really feeling it.
Its been equally good on big lakes such as Superior to small pot hole lakes and rivers and streams.
Ive been in a lot of canoes and none of them compare. Im not being mean. Its the truth. Anyone who ever paddles it, falls in love with it as much as I have for same reasons.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have many canoes, and I have to say I love my Souris River Quetico 17. We have taken this all over NWO. With our family of two Huskies wife, kid and me. It's a great boat, very stable, easily stand up in. Tracks great, and fast to paddle. I've even soloed it a few times.
