★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Looks like new owners. I found the fish to be kind of greasy and it no longer had the light flaky taste it once had. The service was good however. Very nice people.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My friend liked her chowder but that’s because she likes all seafood chowder. I ordered the seaside creation which was an incredibly enormous pile of lettuce with one almond on it. After I left, I had to eat an enormous date square which I didn’t even like or want to eat. Great view, we saw a seal.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great place to get fresh fish. I would highly recommend the halibut fish-and-chips… Would probably have given this place 5 out of 5 however the dining room area was pretty subpar. Recommending to take the food to go.

We hope that we find this restaurant earlier..
Had a few dinners on the island but not impressed until we find this place.
ordered clam chowder and grilled halibut and mussels. The food is very good and large portion. It is so good that my wife and I finished them all(probably food for 2.5 people).
The environment is good and server is attentive although short of staffs.
Overall a great experience to wrap things around in Salt Spring

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Baked halibut. The fish itself was good, but for a 40 dollar meal it fell flat. The onion rings were soggy and saturated with fryer grease and the cold slaw was limp and soggy. I left hungry and unsatisfied for 40 dollars.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fantastic fish and chips, I had the Haddock and it was excellent. Excellent beer as well, West Coast IPA went well with the meal and the West Coast views.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fresh Halibut fish and chips was AMAZING! I’ve never had fish and chips like this. Fries are also fresh and cut in house! Delicious gourmet pizzas to choose from as well, even fresh tasty pastas! Seaside also has a great selection of alcohol, beer, wine. If you are ever on the island looking for great food I definitely recommend Seaside! Enjoy ?
