The cabins are actually located on the side of the road, and the beach access is on the other side. Not that it’s a busy road or noisy but it’s good to know this, so you don’t feel disappointed. The cabins feel very cozy and are tastefully built. We had a pear tree right next to our bedroom. You’ll see many deers passing by and grazing around the cabins. We even saw orcas in the water passing by in distance. Lovely memory from Galiano island.

Had an amazing trip here with a friend for a few nights. The cabins are really well kept, warm, cosy and beautifully designed. And most importantly for us, perfectly located in a secluded space close to trails and hikes and the ocean! 10/10 Will definitely be coming back ❤️

Zero stars. 100% avoid if planning a wedding, especially for those out of town. MANAGEMENT’S CARE FOR THEIR CUSTOMERS IS A CHARADE. My fiancée and I (both American) were going to get married at Bodega Ridge in September 2020 and book all of the cabins and the Cove for our guests (most from abroad as well). We paid a $10,000 deposit in advance. As most that were planning a wedding this past year had to deal with, COVID derailed a lot of the plans on the spot and led to great uncertainty. We probably had three phone calls with Angie by the time it became apparent COVID wouldn’t allow the wedding to happen that year. We literally, per the Canadian government, could not travel into Canada for our wedding. By the time of this review, July 2021, we still cannot get into Canada and therefore visit the Ridge. As we were trying to figure out what in the world to do, Bodega allowed us to buy some time and push the date within the next 12 months—we decided to move the date to June 2021. Seemed like a crapshoot; we made a best guess like anyone could at the time. Within a couple months, it was obvious that COVID was here to stay and that the global travel situation wasn’t improving, nor the safety of holding a large event. At that point, we explained to Bodega because of the travel restrictions and having elder guests and some with preexisting conditions, we simply wouldn’t feel comfortable going any further (and also not legally permitted to make the trek out to the Ridge). Bodega was not receptive and seemed unconcerned. They also tried to convince us to rearrange the event to be just us and maybe a couple other guests. So when we booked it, it was all about preaching to us about how it’s our special, magical day that they want to be apart of…. but it quickly flew out the window and became how does Bodega keep your money. Imagine going through months of planning and laying out financial risk (in addition to just going through COVID in general) and basically being threatened to make a decision you didn’t feel comfortable with. Though they offered an initial 80% refund for cancelling, when we actually decided it wasn’t in the cards just a short amount of time later, they changed their mind to 75%. We weren’t too happy. They stalled on giving us our payment back too/held it for months, probably in order to make some interest on it in the meantime, because they said they needed to rebook the dates first to refund. We cancelled in June 2020 for an event in June 2021, and didn’t see a dollar back during the tough year until October 2020. We thought at the time that we were doing our part by getting off the schedule and allowing Bodega to rebook with someone else (and they even told us they had other interest, so clearly our dates were being shopped around). We were told they would not refund us the last 25% because of potentially losing out on business. But that’s the thing… they found other business! Our date got booked up. So not only did they make money on that event, but they also made money from us. We thought maybe they would understand the situation and since they recovered the business that day, we would get our refund after the fact. Nope! We were given the weak excuse that the phone calls and “COVID management” were worth our couple thousand dollars. Keep in mind we maybe talked maybe four times. We know plenty of prospective couples looking at arrangements for their special day who talk to venues way more than we did, without even ultimately selecting it or paying a single dollar. Were we supposed to keep pushing our date indefinitely into the future? Were we supposed to illegally sneak into Canada? They really don’t care about you. That really sums it up. And they’re prepared to hurt you financially. All hype, no spine.

Awesome cabins in a beautiful location! Smells like cedar when you walk in, and the freestanding bathtub and heated floors in the bathroom are a great touch. Super comfy beds too. The ocean is about 20 steps away if you want to go paddling or just watch the sun set from the thoughtfully placed bench.

Beautifully designed and well-kept cabins. There is large yard out front to let the dogs run free. Quick access to a small beach across the main road.

super clean, cozy and the perfect getaway. It was a very relaxing weekend, thank you Bodega Cove we would def love to come back. The only thing was the lights weren't bright enough, esp during the night when the sun went down. That being said, just because we didn't enjoy the lights, doesn't mean others won't.

Stayed 3 nights in Cove 4; cozy, modern rustic one-bedroom cabin that has all you need for a comfortable stay (bring some food to make breakfast, lunch, snacks, etc., as there are no nearby bakery or eateries but you can drive back towards the ferry for options. Bodega Ridge’s restaurant may not be open during the week or some weekends). The cabin’s wood burning fireplace is great (and supplied fire wood) to heat up the sitting area and add ambience. The deep soaker tub also great (could fit two). Nice, large deck to enjoy the outdoors; even in early December we took advantage of it (along with the nice wool blanket). Note that the property itself is not right on the water - the water is across the street, and there is public access down a short trail to get to the water but it is not a beach per se. For that I’d give the property a 4.5 rating, but overall, I’d say 5 stars is nevertheless deserved. Good walking trails nearby, friendly and helpful staff when needed, plus Galiano’s laid back, no traffic, no street lights, non-rushed atmosphere … all contribute to a relaxing getaway. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Bodega Cove to anyone looking for a getaway either alone or with a larger group.

I had the luxury of doing a retreat here, and honestly I was blown away. The staff is so helpful and caring they really made the experience amazing. The location is beautiful, it's quiet and serene. The food is in INCREDIBLE. I would 20/10 recommend and go back.
