★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I think the people who are giving this place 1.5 are forgetting that they are in an airport, past security check-in. What are your other options for "non grab-and-go" food for under $10 at YVR? I got a Western burger for under $10 before tax. It was big and filling. It's not a great burger, but given the context of where this is; I appreciate the fact that I didn't feel price gouged and could find something decent.

Maybe they've recently improved?

Cold greasy burgers. Like fridge cold buns and room temp patty. Drinks had no fizz or flavour. Fries had no salt.
And they were not even busy. Just standing around behind the counter waiting on customers. The food was really terrible. Especially if they are going to charge that much.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Service was extremely slow. The workers made it seem as though they didn't want to be there. In the 3 orders I saw them fill ahead of me there was at least one mistake in every order. Also, the food is definitely overpriced for what you get.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have never left a bad review in my life, but this Carl’s Jr is abhorrent. there was only two people working so the line was down the entire food court- annoying, but i can get past that. not the worst thing i’ve experienced, but it was sure about to be. i ordered fries and a drink since my flight was departing fairly soon, the lady repeated my order back to me correctly so i assumed we were on the same page here. i discovered they were out of ginger ale and sprite (2/6 available drinks) while waiting a good 10 minutes for my drink cup. i waited and waited and waited (20+ minutes at this point) for my fries while other people’s large orders were being served. eventually the lady asked me what she could help me with, and i’m not sure where we went wrong here but i allegedly didn’t order any fries at all- according to her at least. i’d now spent over 20 minutes standing and waiting for something i didn’t receive, even though i ordered it and the correct order was repeated back to me. interesting.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Food was slow to come out with only 2 employees working. Limited menu and quite expensive at that. Food was rather cold and greasy to the point it drips. Burger in the picture is the Portobello Thickburger.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Came when it wasn’t too busy and got food in an average amount of time. The food was good, the vegetables were fresh, gravy was a quite salty though. It was $19 for the smoky bacon burger and poutine so a little big more expensive but is expected of airport food. They closed at 8pm.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Not sure why this place has such poor ratings. Yes, the service was a little slow and chaotic, but it was partly due to a group in front of me being indecisive with an enormous order. I got the western bacon burger, and it was pretty good. Overall, this is a MUCH better option than Green Bean Cafe next door.
