One of my favorite places for a walk in the forest. Usually plenty of parking, good variety of different trails to explore, and breathtaking views of the river and dam. Very kid friendly as well, and there's a BBQ and picnic area.

We happened to stop by this park on our way down from Grouse Mountain, and glad we did. There is a lot of inclined walking along good trails. Those with mobility issues or strollers that want to visit the hatchery should use the lower entrance to the park about 1.5km south of the upper entrance. We hiked down (and yes back up) to the hatchery. The walk down includes some great spots to view the dam, sluice gates and the canyon walls. The trails are clearly marked and wide enough for people to move in both directions. At the base of the park is the hatchery where there is a walk through display of salmon lifecycle, and other related information on salmon and the importance of salmon to the environment. If hiking the park plan on an hour and a half. If just visiting the hatchery plan in about 30 to 45 mins.

Feeling like to take a stroll in the old growth forest? This tail is for you! A very easy walk to take you along the Cap river and to almost the base of the dam. Take loads of fresh air in to clean out your lungs while enjoy the towering trees will certain refresh your mind and soul.

Had initially gone to see the Capilano Suspension Bridge but realized that we didnt have enough time to enjoy it to its fullest and justify the cost. Found this nearby and really enjoyed it! Great trails nearby, beautiful views in the gorge and the Hatchery was fun to visit and learn about as well.

Great place to see salmon running if it's the season. You can't see the hatchery tanks with the little fish in it though. They do have aquariums with a couple of small fish on display. Great hiking trails from here. Love it cause it's free.

It’s free, informative, beautiful view. Didn’t see any salmon in the river at that time, but there are some in the hatchery. Learned a lot about salmon hatchery and its sustainability. There are some walking trails along the river. Beautiful view of the river and trees. It almost looks like the scene from the movie Bird Box.

I went there with my environmental protection technology class and I had no idea that this little gem existed. Parking was free and it was easy to spend a couple of hours wandering through the trails that surround it. The real treat was seeing the fish through glass swimming up the fish ladder. Great place for kids and adults. Lots of hiking and it's not to to much of a challenge. I can't wait to go back!
