Service quality has gone down. Prices have gone up. There is little value to be found beyond tires here anymore. Prices on other goods must be on sale by at least 40% off to be competitive with other stores. Today's Canadian Tire reminds me of Sears from the past: if it isn't on a great sale...don't bother.

I ordered 4 tires online... 2 from preston crossing east saskatoon and 2 from the west side store as neither had all 4. i received my orders in my email....one said order would be ready 10.30 am the next day and the other 12.00noon the next day. The east side store emailed and texted me the next day confirming my 2 tires were ready for pick up. i waited for the west side store to call but nothing. i gave them a call as i did not want to purchase 2 tires and run into a problem with the other store being out of them. I was transfered twice both times the person stated it wasn,t their department who dealt with this. finally i spoke with a male person in auto service who was rude and even started to raise his voice telling me he couldn,t check the order or at least tell me they had them which is really all i wanted to know. I asked for his name and he hung up on me. I called and asked for a manager. i spoke with kathleen and she tried to transfer me to auto service and i had trouble getting a word in to explain i wanted to complain about the auto service guys rudeness. she then went on a spiel about how canadian tire pulls from different warehouse etc and i failed to see what this was relevant to. finally i managed to ask her is there a way of telling me that the tires were in stock/available i was told she couldn,t do that and then she went on to tell me how canadian tire stores are independant but not really as they are stores within stores. again not relevant. anyway she told me that the tires may not be ready till monday as there were several people ahead of me and she could not do anything about that. this is a lengthy post but believe me this is the short version. the manager kathleen has a serious problem with not allowing anyone to talk or finish a sentence and if she did she didn,t listen or understand what you were saying.....duty manager????? definately shouldn,t be....she ended our conversation by saying she would transfer me to the manager in auto service and i could hear her asking a coleague" how do i transfer, how do i transfer" she managed that but auto service hung up the phone before i could speak. 1 minute later i received a email to say my order was ready...Lol this store needs a shake up and the owner needs to take care of business here as he Mr Cairns obviously has a staffing issue.

Terrible service. I made an online purchase to pick up in store, I had received an email confirming the order was ready for pick up. When I got there, I called the phone number on the phone at the pick up desk to be assisted, no one answered. I stood in line at the tills, about 15 minutes with the line backed up to the isles and only 3 cashiers. The cashier told me she couldn't help me and didn't know who to call to get my order, she told me to go back to that desk and wait. I went back to the desk and tried calling again, still no answer. I went to customer service, they told me they didn't know who to call and to go to the desk with the phone. I tried calling one more time, no answer. After 5 more minutes two employees come for outside and say someone else will help me. I waited another 5 minutes and they finally asked my order number and went to get it. When they came back, they said they couldn't find everything I ordered, even though the email said everything was ready and I was charged for it all.... When I asked if they were able to check other store locations for the products, they told me they couldn't. Update: January 8, 2022 I went to return an item from the store, it was within the 90 days, unopened and I had the receipt. The customer service worker would not return it because I purchased it from a different location... I called the number from the CT response and I was told they are not allowed to do this as it is a corporate policy to return products from any CT store as long as there is a receipt and it is within the 90 days and in sellable condition. I also asked about checking stock at different locations and it is also a corporate policy that they can check the stock at different locations, regardless of being privately owned. Essentially, this store refuses to do anything and will always provide the excuse that they are "privately owned", which really should affect as much as they tell people it does..... it is definitely better to shop at the Preston Crossing location and avoid the hassle of this store.

Drove in from out of town to pick up a part they had assured me they had in stock. When I arrived I waited for half hour for assistance. Then I was told they did not have the part in stock. The other parts stores had closed by the time they “helped”me, and I wasted 2 hours and $40 of gas for nothing. All dude to Canadian tires atrocious systems, and understaffing. It’s a shame how far downhill they have gone.

Got the boxing gloves I needed for my grandson. Their website stated that they had two sets and they did. Good quality and a great price. On the west side so close for me as I reside in a rural area west of the city.

One of the stores I usually visit for household items, tools for husband, garden needs, Christmas ornaments, and some occasional things. Better get their Triangle credit card which will give you 4% e-CT money for every purchase and additional 11% on your first buy. Store offers array of products for household needs, power tools, exercise equipment, storages, cabinets and racks, sports items, kiddie stuff, and more. Spacious and big parking lot, staff are friendly too. You can even pay on installment if your purchase reached the required amount. There's always several items being sold on discount, some are really huge (check out my recepit). ??

It was my first visit to the store yesterday afternoon.I received a "marks" voucher from my office so went directly from the office and carrying an office bag. At the time of exit of Canadian tire store , a guy on the last counter yelled at me "it's first and last time saying to put your bag on the kiosk with a very bad tone".It was my first visit and no clear instructions I found of doing the same(even there was no bag drop kiosk on entry, it is located at near exit point). So I apologized and walked upfront to him if he want to check my bag, he waived at security to do the same. The security guy was so humble and polite, he addressed me in a proper manner and thanked me. A security guy was more suitable for the customer service role. "Canadian Tire" is a well known brand!it was an unexpected experience! I am a new Immigrant to the country and First time I felt disrespectful.

I received truly exceptional service from the Automotive department at the Confederation site. I live ten hours out of town and was in town for a dog show when I was in an accident that rendered my car undriveable. Even though they were fully booked, they fitted my car in on Saturday and did an amazing job of repairing it by the end of the day so I could go home at the end of the weekend. On top of that, they were just so pleasant to deal with:) They really turned the weekend around for me. Thanks so much from Lindy and Flint:)
