Dr. Montgomery has been a community based family physician since 1994 and has practiced in Alberta, BC, and Ontario. Cancer survivorship has long been amongst her most significant clinical interests, and upon returning to Alberta in 2010 an opportunity presented itself as a meaningful fit. This particular area of work is one she holds dear, thanks to the countless ways in which her patients and families have impacted her through their collective experience. Profound learning has come from the “witness and withness” required to best accompany and assist people through these challenges and she maintains that she has gained more from patients than she could ever give. She is grateful to be a part of the BCSC team, and considers it an honour and a privilege to serve in this capacity given her belief that a whole person approach to moving through such time and to thriving beyond is critical to a meaningful healing process, whatever the outcome.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Dr. Ardythe Taylor is an absolute disgrace for a human being. Not only is this woman condescending, but racist and makes inappropriate as well as rude remarks towards her patients. I was treated with absolute disrespect and she had made me feel like I amounted to no self-worth due to my illness. I will not be recommending her, nor her reputation/services to anyone that I know in Calgary. Shame on you Ardythe Taylor!

Words cannot describe how helpful it has been and I would recommend it to anybody at any stage of their cancer journey. The staff are caring and compassionate and always seem to go that extra mile to make sure you are cared for both physically and mentally. Brenda, the patient care coordinator is exceptional and the clinic is inviting and comforting.

The level of care and support that I have received here just blew me away. I don’t think I would be walking away from cancer nearly as healed emotionally and psychologically if it had not been for the expert care of Dr. Carla. ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ When I was at my lowest, and didn’t see a light at the end of my despair and depression, I was told about this place and the wonderful people who work there, from the receptionist’s to the doctors. I was lucky enough, and I really mean lucky to have the guidance and support from Dr Carla Montgomery and her whole staff, and also the phenomenal ladies in my cancer group there, that helped me through a very difficult time. They gave me the strength and determination to find myself again, and to remind me always to never let Cancer win. I highly recommend the Breast Cancer Supportive Care Center in its entirety ❣️
