I've serviced my bike and my kids’ here a couple of times - friendly, thorough, prompt, reasonably priced, great location and most importantly, I can call for helpful tips. Dexter helped me buy a multi-purpose pump and it has served me and my family well.

Was in need of a last minute repair to a very old recreational bike. Dex was honest about whether the cost of the repairs was worth it considering the value of the bike. Eventually we asked to buy a part and repair it ourselves, he also lent us a wrench and bike pump while we fixed the bike near by! All in all would recommend, thanks Dex!

I've used Dex for several repairs on my bikes and he is a very easy individual to deal with. His work is outstanding, his rates are very reasonable and the turn around time is quick on all his projects. He is an experienced bike mechanic, you will be glad you chose him for your bike repair/tune up needs.

I was cheated at BIKEFX by the Owner Dexter/Dex. July 17/21 I had brought my bike in for a check up. Explained to Dex that I would like an assessment on the bike to see what may or may not need a tune up, also I had mentioned about the tires being in the wrong direction and I am hearing a slight chain rubbing on metal. Dex agreed about the tires yet did not performed any further assessment, instead said $20 tires + $30 Gears tune up. I agreed. I told him this is my first bike and I have no idea about this bike how it works. July 18/21 Dex text reads Bike is ready, price is $65 (increased from $50 to $65). Paid it, walked outside, Dex shuts the doors (6:45pm). July 19/21 I take the bike for a ride. First thing I had noticed, rear brake caliper lift side brake pad is tight against the bike rim, left is loose. Second thing I had notice chain still rubbing on metal sounds like a tractor. Informed Dex. Brought bike to BIKEFX. Pointed out the problem. Dex said he did not do the Tune up, he repeated it 2 or 3 times. I lost my civilized composure, raised my voice, and called him a thief and a liar, demanded my $45 for tune up he did not do refunded. Dex said nothing wrong with bike gears, said I am something something who has no idea how bike gear shift levers works ( I knew it, I told him that from day 1). The fact Dex mentioned more about Gear selecting/shifting rather then tune up was my prove that Gears on my bike were in a good condition no need for any Tune Ups only to learn how Gear Shifting Operates. Dex knowingly charged me $45 for a job he did not do, That is cheating. A dishonest owner/operator. I took my bike to Evolution Cycle for a free assessment. Mechanic checked the gears said needed a minor tweaking/adjustments. Evolution Cycle Mechanic adjusted the gears FOR FREE!!! Reported that rear wheel is out of alignment ( Had Dex attempted a gears tune up he would have noticed that as well). Bottom line is Dexter did not offer me any resolution for my bike troubles, did not care to do anything but walked way from me, seeing me so upset. The owner of bike shop where Dex rents a small corner came out to have a conversation with me (to calm me down a bit). Dexter may be honest with others but he cheated and lied and name called me. Dexter had an opportunity to make easy $45 for job not needed to do and he took it. Dexter had victimized a totally inept man in bicycle operations , maintenance, and turned it to his easy profit. Cheap operator. Future Customers beware. Make proper agreement. Dexter will cheat you if you let him as I did. Dexter was spinning this story that it is my fault as a bad bike owner who knows nothing. Dexter said I was completely to blame for his deceit. An up date as of July 21/21 4:00pm Dex had posted his response to my review, as I had suspected and mentioned that he will turn and spin the full incident to blame me as I am the one who is to blame not him. He refuses to take responsibility, refuses to further help me out to resolve this distasteful situation. As I am writing this update Dex keeps texting me messages, and blames me for his deceit, and he actually had threatened me. Please read other dissatisfied reviews and his responses. Always blame the other guy tactics. Future Customers Beware of this BIKEFX and Dex he will cheat you and blame you. Thank you all for reading.
