Big T's BBQ & Smokehouse

I was going to meet the wife and kids for Chinese but seen BigT's and changed our plans. So glad we did. ? The lady inside was fantastic. She recommended a local beer that was great even gave my two girls a little treat before our meal. And what a meal it was! She was a wonderful host! If you have a hankering for some BBQ. Stop and get yourself a Blonde beer and a platter... You won't regret it!

I use to go to Big T at Calgary market and had similar expectations of a hearty brisket sandwich on a large multi grain bun with my choice of toppings. It wasn’t that. Ended up with a few ounces of brisket on a hamburger bun with a bit of slaw and one side for about $20. Uh, yeah sticker shock. Very poor value. I was extremely disappointed. Such as it was the food tasted good but that’s the only positive thing I can say. I did take out, but the customer service was not very good. I won’t go back. March 4 - reached out to the organization as instructed in their response and have had no response whatsoever.

I was drawn in to try this place because I love corn bread. Ordered the lunch special (drink, rib ends and fries) and added on cornbread but after a closer inspection of the menu as I waited wondered if it was really that great of a deal. Lol…. Anyway, Got home and opened my box of goodies: fries were good and rib ends while crispy, I thought lacked flavour. As for my much anticipated corn bread? Forgotten off my order :( my Grape Crush (an indulgence..!) was pretty tasty though!!

Usually when we order from here there’s a 50/50 chance something is going to be wrong. Today I ordered the smoked chicken sandwich, and this chicken was so burnt I almost cracked a tooth. Completely inedible. My dog won’t even eat it.

I have had from big -T around 4 time. All those experience was really good. This time we ordered ribs - those were really tough meat. Excellent meat and sausage

First and for most all my reviews are honest. The rating is not just based on food its the whole experience. I decided to try this place out. I usually smoke my own meats or go to Main Street BQQ. I love BBQ food. So when I first walked in it was just me at the counter with no line up. I was approached by an oriental women who asked if I was here for pick up and I replied no I want to place an order to go and she said ok and walked away an continued to work. She never spoke another word to me. I waited for at least 10 mins before a gentlemen came in and took my order. This kind of irritated me a little bit as it wasn't busy in here. I explained I never ate here before and I would like to try out alittle bit of everything and its just for myself and my wife. He recommended the priscilla plater for two. I asked him what wood they use to smoke there meats and he was unsure and couldn't provide an answer. This may not mean anything to some people but it does to me as this is a BBQ restaurant where meats are smoked and this info should be provided to the employees. The gentlemen was very friendly and provided me with allot of other info and such as what to expect from the different BBQ sauces and what he would recommend and he also told me exactly how much brisket came with the platter as it doesn't tell you , you only get 150 grams of brisket. So when I got home and opened everything up I must say I enjoyed all of the meats and sauces plus the coleslaw, beans and corn bread. There was defiantly enough food for myself and my wife. The only complaint I have about the food is the ribs were tough but the flavor and crust on them was good. Over all I gave this place 4 stars for the slow ordering, tough ribs and unable to answer questions. I would recommend eating here from my experience.

My wife and I made the decision to head to Big T’s after only having ordered delivery previously. Great decision, that was! Cam and Ben were awesome; Super nice, welcoming, and helpful. The food was delicious and portions were filling. Looking forward to our next visit. Highly recommend!!! Meticulously clean restaurant, amazing service, delicious food, and good people.

Yum! My wife and I ordered a little bit of everything (but not EVERYTHING so we'll be back). Sorry for only one picture it smelled so good we dug right in! We tried: Brisket - very juicy and tasty not the best I've ever had but an easy choice to reorder in the future (want to try the sandwich next time). Chicken - little dry but still tasty, but wouldn't be our first choice to order. We'll be having the left overs on rice and we're already excited. Rib End - sweet and smokey YES PLEASE. Pulled Pork - wow, ok next time I'm bringing a Rubbermaid bin for you guys to fill up! This was easily our favorite meat selection and I won't be going back without reordering it again. Cornbread - not our favorite but excited to try the hush puppies next time! The staff were kind and attentive and took the time to make us feel welcome and share a laugh with us. Recommend for the solid BBQ and friendly staff!
