This place is amazing ! Today I did for a second time my eyebrow lamination and eyelash lift and they look gorgeous. First time I went there my eyebrows looked terrible and little by little Tripti has been getting them a nice shape. Staff are very friendly. Roma who is the manager is most of the time there making sure the clients are receiving the best of the services. Tripti is the girl who does all my services. She is very friendly and since day one she got the way I like my services get done. She is very professional. Thank you so much to the whole team!

I had such a great experience with Parv! Not only is she incredibly talented, but she was patient and kind. Since this was new for me, Parv was honest about what services would and wouldn’t work for me, and I really trusted her - it paid off because my brows have never looked better! You can tell she has her client’s best interest in mind at all times. Overall, I would recommend Beauty First Spa to anyone as their space was kept very clean and all their staff are really good at what they do. Already booked my next appointment! :)

I went here to get my eyebrows laminated for the first time; they have a deal on Mondays. Ayesha did the lamination and it was fantastic. I have curly eyebrow hairs and this smoothed them plus the lamination includes a tint which I appreciated. I also purchased the eyebrow pencil (Beauty First name brand) after Ayesha used it on me and it is now my favourite eyebrow pencil. I prefer to my Benefit one. The staff were all very friendly and professional. Highly recommmend this spot.

I had an amazing experience with Sonu. I had got eyelash extensions and threading and she was really kind and patient. She took her time with me to hear exactly how I wanted it to be. The eyelash extensions and threading also turned out really nice and I recommend Beauty First Spa to everyone.

I will always recommend Beauty First! I go to the Hilcrest location regularly and have had services with 4 different aestheticians - each of them are AMAZING! After a full face waxing they give you a face mask and do a mini facial, its beyond worth the price. Eyebrow shaping is also incredible (and im very picky about eyebrows!)

Mahnaz shaped my eyebrows and did full face threading. My eyebrows look beautiful and even. She is knowledgeable about skin type, and tried her best to not hurt my sensitive skin during threading and waxing as I did both on my face. She is very gentle, clean and professional. I would definitely try to do my eyebrows and full face threading regularly with her.

Tripti is the lady I come to, she is amazing and makes sure I’m comfortable at all times. She has made my waxing experience go a long way. Their wax is soft on my sensitive skin and my skin feels better then ever. I have never had a bad experience here and I’m so happy to have found such a calming and healthy experience. All the ladies are lovely and talented in their work.

I had the absolute worst experience with Beauty First. I went for eyelash extensions and noticed my eyes felt painful and were red afterwards. I was assured this was normal and it would clear in a few hours. The next day both of my entire eyes were bloodshot, painful, tender and hurt when looking at light. I have gotten my lashes done multiple times- I do not have allergies. I told beauty first what happened and how concerned I was. They suggested it was an allergy and I should have them removed. I had to call into work because they were so painful and ended up visiting a doctors clinic. I was told this was NOT an allergic reaction but a chemical burn. I was given numbing drops and told not to let anything else come near my eyes. I went back to the store and told them I could not get them off as per the medical professionals opinion- as the drops needed to set and honestly I was uncomfortable having them near my eyes again. Removing them was not an option and I would not go against the advice of a doctor. I asked about a refund and was told head office would need to be contacted. I told them I would appreciate that and was told they would call me ASAP. The next morning I woke up with cloudy and blurred vision. My eyes were extremely painful and much worse than the day before. I ended up going to Mackenzie Health hospital where they again confirmed these were chemical burns. I was given numbing drops for the pain and additional drops to continue treatment. My eyes were dyed yellow to inspect for scratches or damage to the actual layer on my outer eyeball. This was a very painful process. Once I was home I reached out via Instagram to Beauty First. I updated them on my hospital visit and the damage this had caused my eyes. I told them I was only looking for a refund (as I paid $180 after tip and purchase of an eyelash cleanser). The person I was in contact with on Instagram told me they would contact the hillcrest location to authorize this. They apologized and stated β€œwe truly apologize to have given you such an experience and we hope your eye gets better soon.” I took this as they were taking accountability and going to refund me my money- but I was wrong. The hillcrest manager, Romika, contacted me and was immediately unpleasant and short with me. I told her of my experience and she became defensive and abrupt. She told me they had NO fault in what had happened and I must have had an underlying eye condition. I explained I have had my lashes done numerous times and a medical doctor confirmed I had chemical burns as a result from these extensions. She told me the best she could do was a store credit. I told her I was extremely uncomfortable with the thought of ever coming back there, as I am now anxious for my own health. This seemed to offend her and she told me that was all they were willing to do and this was NOT their fault whatsoever. When I tried to explain how upset I was she spoke over me and scoffed at what I was saying. After some back and forth of me explaining I did not pay $180 for pain, a hospital visit, and taking 3 days off of work (missing out on 3 days of pay), she told me she refused to acknowledge that they had done anything wrong. I was extremely upset and had to end the conversation because I was crying and frustrated. After this I reached out via Instagram again to begin expressing how disrespectful, upsetting and careless this entire experience was. In response they asked to contact me via phone call and never called after I provided my number. I would never trust Beauty First again. All I wanted was a refund for the $180 I paid. I would never accept a store credit, especially from somewhere so hostile and after they damaged my eyes in such a way. Avoid this business at all costs. Edit- I have 0 missed calls, 0 messages and no one has reached out to me. Not sure what you’re talking about. No one has reached out and I have phone logs to prove it.
