About Beam Radiology - Harvest Hills
Our sonographers (ultrasound technologists) are highly trained and experienced in their field. They draw from this experience to provide the highest quality imaging and the most information possible for the interpreting physician. Ultrasound employs the use of sound waves to create images of soft tissue organs and different parts of the body; one of the better known functions is its use during pregnancy, where it is used to examine the developing embryo and fetus. In the setting of diagnostic imaging the sonographer plays the role of both technologist and point of contact for the patient. Our sonographers take extreme pride in being able to offer empathetic and engaged care to each patient and strive to make the experience as positive as is possible.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The services were fine, but it might be least convenient location to either get access to or to park. If you aren't on the right side of the road you aren't turning into the parking lot and will have to swing around, and then you will be pushing your luck o parking if you drive anything bigger than a compact. If the mantra is location, location, location then this is the antimantra. I'm getting my doc to refer me somewhere else in the future as this place is too much of a hassle to get to.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ While Beam says "our patients come first" on its website, that has not been my experience. Their injections seemed to work, but I wish I'd known that the only chance I'd have to ask questions (e.g., what exactly is my diagnosis, etc.) was after the final injection, when I was faint and unprepared. So I went home, months passed, and when I called Beam last week I was told that to ask a question I need a requisition for another procedure that I don't know I want without knowing more (i.e., by asking questions). When I pressed, the booking person relented and said Dr. Clerk, who gave my first injection, would call me within a 90-minute window on a particular day. So I read up and had my ducks in a row, but no call. This is outrageous, more so given the “patients first” claim. I’ve been utterly ghosted.
I might have been forgiving had the Beam team not lost (yes, lost) the requisition for a second visit that I left at their front desk during my first visit - the front girl had it in her hands when I left and said they’ll hold on to it, yet the day before the second visit a man called and firmly told me I needed a requisition. I said they had it; he said they didn’t. So I called my doctor, who was on holidays (it was July). It took three weeks to get the requisition sent again. The nurses were nice during the procedures, but Beam the business is done with you once you walk out the door.

She's an asset to any organization and I will be failing on my part if I don't bring this to the notice of the management and patients info! The staff here seems to be quite happy and helpful. Their new clinic in Royal Oak is beautiful and clean. I had such a positive experience with Beam and it was incredible to see my baby girl for the first time!
