★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Life just gets better every time you adopt another pet. Huxley was rescued from an unfortunate situation. Her and her 12 littermates all had congenital megaesophagus. Some were starving and had to be euthanized. Huxley was one of the lucky ones and lives her days as a pretty normal pup, besides eating a liquid diet in a handcrafted chair. Everyone at the Kamloops SPCA cares so much about every animal they encounter.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wonderful staff helped us with food for our cat and dog, and a carrier for our cat. We left our home so quick, and really needed the help they so graciously provided. Thank you !! ❤️

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I recently took my dog Willow for her shots. I got the appt. days mixed up and showed up for the appt. a day early. They did the appt. anyways saving me a return trip the next day. They're always so kind and professional and my skittish dog went willingly with Dr. S V, who had previously done her very small scar spay 6 months ago. I highly recommend this clinic and the staff.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Took my kitten to this spca location to get his vaccinations and completely disgusted by the treatment I received from Dr. Steve Ravenstein when my cat went into a full blown allergic reaction (fever, vomiting, difficulty breathing) and I called his emergency number only for him to basically downplay the incident, trying to avoid the possibility that it was an allergic reaction, saying it was extremely rare and trying to convince me that there was something toxic in my household that my kitten got into. Took him to the cat hospital downtown and they believed it to be the vaccinations. I also don’t recommend taking your animals for their shots at the spca because they won’t let you be with them when they get their shots. They basically take your animal away and then hand them back to you. Very impersonal and they do not inform you properly about any of the side effects or risks involved. Never going back there ever again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My daughter and I drove to Kamloops to adopt a guinea pig .We were so impressed .The space for the piggy (Scooby) was outstanding.The blankets food water bowls etc.were spotless.They still had masks in place and provided a beautiful carrier to travel with.I have adopted many pets and by far this is the best SPCA I have ever seen.The staff asked that we spend some time with Scooby as they recognised that adoption is something that needs to be taken seriously.I am now hoping to adopt a small dog and plan to travel from Chilliwack to adopt a friend.This experience left our hearts full when we left with Scooby as the care the animals recieved was heart warming.
