Bayshore Inn & Spa - Waterton Park

The room we stayed at was a little outdated and could definitely use some renovations; however, the location was perfect! It's right on the lake so it was nice being able to walk out of your room and spend the day by the lake. I would definitely stay here again and the staff was friendly!

My partner and I stayed here for a weekend and were generally disappointed. This place had 5-star resort pricing for what is essentially a motel. While the room seemed nice enough - large and clean with a balcony - we unfortunately found out at night just how thin the walls and how wide the gaps in the door frames are. The surrounding noise made sleep impossible, which defeats the entire purpose of overnight accommodations. In addition we had zero housekeeping over the weekend and no other services provided beyond check-in. I have stayed at other motels in Waterton that appropriately advertise that they are motels and would recommend saving your money and staying at one of these instead. There was nothing special here to justify the major price discrepancy. A note for context: we visited in August (high season) and were not in a lake front room. Given that the lake is walking distance from everywhere I still don't think this would have made the pricing more worth it, especially considering the even larger price jump for one of those rooms. The primary reason this is not a single star review is the politeness of the front desk who were very accommodating and easy to talk to. Update in Response to Owner: This previously 2 star review has been reduced to a 1 star review. Given that friendly staff was the only thing keeping this from a single star review, I believe the condescending response from the owner warrants lowering. To say that Waterton is just a different village and if I am going to compare it to the city or large resort towns then I have "missed the point" is rude and condescending and clearly shows that the owner didn't thoroughly read my review. I made it clear in my review that I was comparing the Bayshore to motels that are literally across the street from it, not to other towns. Again, I recommend you save your money and stay at one of these other motels instead as the Bayshore doesn't offer much more than being a few steps closer to the noisy lake shore and the owner is likely to question your judgement if you opt to provide feedback.

Staff were polite and courteous, room were clean. However long weekend or not, the price doesn't fit the accommodations. The building is quite dated with some upgrades. Fan in the bathroom was not functional, a heat lamp seemed to be installed right beside it and they just re purposed the timer switch. Ac blows directly onto one of the beds (no way to change the airflow direction) You can see about a half inch of daylight at the front door. Not an awful experience but nothing to write home about

The service is horrible. We booked three lake view rooms for one night stay. Upon checking in the rooms that were given to us didn’t even have the view. One room had the view of the whole parking lot and people and had zero privacy we had to close the curtains the whole time. When I asked the front desk associate Ron he wouldn’t even understand that when a client pays for a lake view they should get the lake view. He basically forced the room on us saying he gave all the other lake views to people who checked in before us. Another thing to mention that we checked in around 2 and he told us that the whole hotel is booked basically everyone checked in before us when the check in tile is 4. So many lies, the communication is horrible and zero effort to make your clients happy. My first and last time at this property. They should send the staff for some customer service training. Very very disappointing stay

I booked a romantic suite. Room was a good size with some chair seating inside as well as balcony, etc. Room was clean and well stocked on arrival. Beds were comfortable, brand new great pillows, new good size TV's, microwave, coffee pot and fridge. Jacuzzi tub was great and relaxing. Nice view off balcony of the lake in suite 214. All windows had a great view. Location is probably best in the Waterton being on the lake and close to everything. Price is not cheap based on location but that being said it is fair value for Waterton. The little interaction with staff I had they were all friendly from front desk to housekeeping. If you want a convenient location this is your spot.

The town is lovely but the price of this accommodation is not a reflection of quality. The staff were nice, but I would say overall the place isn't worth the price. Very few rooms have good views and the amenities are few. Or room has rust, mildew, and a poor paint job in the tub to cover up..?

Staff were so nice, specially when we needed to change our reservation! They did it without penalty and pretty fast. Hotel is old, room was clean. For end September early Oct the room was cold however they gave us a portable heater. Probably pricing needs to be adjusted with the old quality of the facility, it’s a bit high, however I understand they may not be serving the whole 365 days of the year!

We happened to go to Waterton just before the long weekend. We did get our room at much cheaper rate. It was clean and we really enjoyed the view (lake) from the little veranda. We will be back.
