Waterton Glacier Suites - Waterton Park

Great hotel and location. Wonderful food in the hotel restaurant, Italian. 4 stars because our room stated 2 bathrooms, it was 1.5 (no shower/tub in 2nd). Very nice recent refurbish, linens, towels and beds all with a luxury feel ?

Lovely hotel room. It was nice as you could have 2 separate sleeping areas, the bedroom, and the living room with the pullout. In-between these was a very large bathroom and a little kitchenette. The TV was a bit glitch, but I believe that is more of a location issue than the hotel itself. The hotel was very central and a quick walk to anything in the townsite.

The rooms are well kept up and spacious. The staff were excellent. But, there were two issues that don't give this review a 5 star. One, the air conditioning unit is too high to reach to change temp/fan speed, and the tv reception is sketchy, sometimes it worked and sometimes it didn't.

Appearance makes it look like the only decent hotel to stay at (minus the prince of Wales). Clean and pretty well maintained. Balcony was in very rough condition and not maintained. Stayed in a Romantic Suite which had a tiny shower but good enough to get the job done. The BED was my biggest complaint. I’ve literally NEVER had a complaint about a bed but the bed was soooo soft, too soft for me. I am so completely sore after spending 3 nights on this bed. If you can sleep on soft beds (which I didn’t even know that I couldn’t) STEER CLEAR FROM HERE. Reception was great and housekeeping wasn’t done during your stay so I can’t comment on that. I will not stay here again but only because of the bed.

A great hotel. Very nice and professional reception & restaurant staff, immaculate room and amazing beds! Great view from our loft suite as well. Even though housekeeping is limited these days, we were well taken care of and made sure everything's up to code in an efficient manner. Red Rock Trattoria has amazing food as well. Definitely recommend and will stay again if I'm coming to Waterton!

Oh My Gosh. It is so great to have a motel open all year. The people were awesome, the rooms were clean large and comfortable. It was nice to entertain in the living room part of the suite where you did not have to sit on beds. 2 fireplaces was a bonus and a sliding door to the beautiful views of the mountains. The restaurant was exceptional. Staff were professional and food was to die for.

We were very dissatisfied that the accommodation told us everything was open in the town but we quickly found out about 95% of the town and it’s businesses were closed even the General Store. We know they closed early due to covid, the weather and “a letter” from their business org. / Parks Canada (or somewhere) , a tough time with getting staff, a tough season etc etc. However, I feel in a small town/village such as this I think the hoteliers should be upfront and advise people, responsibility lies with you to inform your well paying guests when the town is practically closed. While we went there to walk/hike most people expect there to be more than 2/3 restaurants open. The Prince of Wales Hotel was also closed. We went in off-season for the peace and quiet but we didn’t expect a closed season. We did not let it ruin our 4 day stay but I feel strongly enough about this to let you know in an online review. Ireland was very patient when I raised the concern however I did not feel good about my interaction with the Manager when I spoke with him about my concern on checking out…..I felt no empathy nor that my concern would be passed on to the owners. In fact, I was told that it was none of their concern as to what was open in the town ( by the rather unfriendly mgr.) …. fair point if we are talking about a business or two but when it’s practically the whole town that’s a different story. You had adequate time to send me an email as I booked a few weeks prior. Waterton is a beautiful place and we enjoyed many beautiful hikes while there. We drove from Edmonton on the beautiful Cowboy Trail to Waterton.

The room was really great. It was very clean and well maintained. Moreover, the room was really big. Unfortunately, there was no bathtub in my room, but there was a very spacious good shower.
