★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Always our first choice car rental at Victoria airport and this latest trip reminds us why. The staff at check-in and check-out is friendly and fast getting you on your way. We got an upgrade to an SUV thanks to my Preferred membership. The vehicle was clean and only had about 6500 kms on it.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The service was quick and easy. Access to the vehicle was very close by. Avis counter was close to baggage pickup. Vehicle wasn’t cleaned very well and, although it was the same class of vehicle, it wasn’t the model we selected. In fact, they don’t even have the one on the website at all. Asked if we could use Aeroplan Miles to collect points and the agent told us the price goes up if we want the points. We found that a little absurd.
Overall a good experience thanks to the staff there!

The vehicle (Ford Escape) provided met my expectations, though not likely a model I was choose as my personal vehicle, it fit the category I requested and did not impact my rating of AVISs service.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 6 days for mid-size car for $345 "+ taxes" came out to $474. Wow, I knew about PST/GST, but VEH LIC fee, Pass Veh Rtl Tax, 13.64% tax, DY ERF, and on and on. That's AFTER I had turned down the extra insurance they wanted to charge me for an additional $30/day, and argued successfully against an extra fee for an additional driver (which not all the rental agencies charge, btw). Avis, if you want to avoid the shocked look on customers' faces, why not quote a price inclusive of all fees/taxes? Sooo different from my rental experience at Enterprise in Sidney - the price quoted was what I paid, they pick up/drop off at airport during their business hours, and it was actually faster picking up my car even though they weren't on site compared to standing in the lineup at Avis. Folks, don't let the apparent convenience of renting from the airport fool you, Enterprise is 5 minutes away and so much cheaper/faster. Next time I will schedule a flight that arrives during Enterprise business hours - the only reason I couldn't rent from them during this trip was my flight arrived after they closed.

They made everything so easy for me. The vehicle was clean. And comfortable. Overall I was quite satisfied and I would rent from Avis again .?
