We have been going to Aqua Paws for the past 6 years for the swimming therapy with amazing results. Hedy does a fantastic job guiding our senior dog through the exercises as she earned the respect of our Della very quickly. Aqua Paws is truly a place that dogs get excited to go to. With such caring staff, this is just a win win for dogs and their owners Thank you for all that you do for our Della. Cheers

Amazing place. Our 11 year old dog Jet has been struggling with his joints. He's on a variety of meds to help him but I'd heard good things about hydrotherapy for dogs and figured it wouldn't hurt to try. We thought it was going to be woo-woo nonsense but we ate our words after seeing the results: it's straight-up physiotherapy for dogs. Jet is always much more spry after a session and when we recently took him to the vet (after he'd had a few sessions once weekly) she said that his mobility was better than she'd ever seen it (we only adopted him two years ago so he's only ever been old to us). Swimming is low impact exercise and it is always recommended for humans with bad joints so it makes sense that it works for dogs, but I remain surprised that it works this well. The hydrotherapist Jet works with - Heddy - is fantastic. Obviously you have to be good with dogs if you wrangle them into pools all day every day, but Heddy is top notch. She is bossy with Jet (he loves an Alpha) but super encouraging, and has unlimited patience. In Jet's first session he refused to enter the pool. And refused. And refused. Heddy encouraged him super patiently for what seemed like forever - I would've given up and sent his butt home ten minutes in, but she persisted. She did eventually have to manhandle him into the pool but was very gentle and encouraging while doing it to ensure that it wasn't a negative experience for the dog (and now Jet willingly goes down the ramp himself into the pool, and occasionally even begins to swim without encouragement). She is always mindful of ensuring that the pool has the most positive possible associations for the dog. She moves alongside Jet while he swims so that he doesn't get scared. She has sensible rules for owners to follow that ensure that she's in the driver's seat during a session. And the dog enjoys the mental enrichment - all the instructions, fetching, and many, many rewards - and being the centre of everyone's attention. The venue is currently undergoing some construction but this hasn't affected the pool area, which is very safely penned in to deter escape artists. The whole venue is set up so that the dog clients don't run into one another, and the appointments are timed so there doesn't seem to be any overlap. I've never seen another dog inside while Jet has had his sessions. Given that the pool is a dog pool it is shockingly clean. That poor pool filter must be working constantly! And there's a little penned-in area near the exit with towels and a hair dryer where you can towel your dog off before you leave. All in all, we're very happy that we can keep our creaky old dog fit and moving in a way that doesn't put too much strain on him, and that the staff here know what to do to make that experience as happy as possible for the dog. I've recommended this place to everyone at the dog park!

Recently saw the Dr here about my dogs limping. She had sustained an injury and the vets at the ER saw nothing wrong with her. Dr Raceeta saw her and diagnosed a groin pull. One session with Dr Raceeta and my pup is already walking better and now in less pain.

I couldn’t be more pleased with the rehabilitation progress my 6 year old yellow lab has had in such a short period of time. We have been a client of Hedi’s for just about two months now. My lab had to have surgery after an MRI detected a herniated C6/C7 disk in his neck. He was a vibrant 5 year old with so much energy and spunk, his deterioration was rapid to the point our walks became purpose based, to relieve bodily fluids as he had no extra energy to expend and was in constant discomfort. On May 26, 2021, surgery was the option I choice and couldn’t be happier. After three months post surgery he was still not completely back to normal and virtually no muscle mass on his right hind quarter. At this point I decided to give aqua therapy a try for him. Aqua Paws was our choice and his schedule is twice a week. As soon as we pull into the parking lot he can’t wait to see Hedi and get into the pool. She gives him positive reinforcement, and constant encouragement. He is the perfect student attentive and focused. The muscle memory in his back right leg is coming back, it’s actually becoming visible now with all the swimming, stretches, and repetitive exercises Hedi has Riley doing. I can’t say enough about our experience. If you have any doubts please don’t, I am so happy for the strength Riley has redeveloped. Thank you, Hedi!!! You are a wonderful asset to Aqua Paws!!

I take my German Shepherd to Hedi and she is amazing! She is so calm and gentle with him and noted an injury we were not aware of and referred us to an expert. We are very lucky to be working with her. Our GS is recovering so well and gaining new skills and stability. We are amazed at his progress. She also referred us to a specialist for his joints so he can get help for the long term. We would completely recommend working with her

I love this place! My senior 11 year old pug has gone from a slow arthritic hip dysplasia dog to an energized spry and active pooch. I can tell Bowzer isn’t in any more pain as he is jumping on the couch and out of the car without waiting for us to pick him up. The staff here is knowledgable and have attention to every detail and like educating you along the way. This place is a wonderful holistic alternative to surgery and medicine for your pooch.

Brought our 11 month old pup here for swim lessons and we are so glad we did!! She’s had swim lessons elsewhere; however, we weren’t happy with their teaching methods. So happy that we made the switch to Aqua Paws because their teaching methods make sense and don’t put your dog in distress! They use positive reinforcement and their staff is extremely trained. The session was structured and organized. We had Devon as our instructor and she was unbelievably patient with our extremely high energy pup. Dolly was launching herself off the ramp in no time with Devon’s guidance! I was so impressed because she always had an issue of getting off the ramp. And this was all done without forcing Dolly off it! The facility is very well organized and safe too. During the lesson, Devon made sure that Dolly wasn’t running loose around the deck so she wouldn’t slip and hurt herself. They also have a nice little drying area where towels, ear wipes, and a blow dryer are provided for you to use before leaving. Thank you for the best swim day! Dolly will be back soon :).
