★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I'm a Calgarian who was visiting the West Coast in early July when the clutch on my 2011 Subaru Forester died in downtown Vancouver, on the way back from the beach. I barely managed to get the car to the curb. It was a Sunday afternoon. I called the CAA for a tow, then looked online for Subaru dealers to decide where the vehicle should go. In the middle of the Subaru listings was Kon's shop. Although I knew he wouldn't be open, I tried calling anyways. Although I didn't leave a voicemail message, Kon phoned me back within five minutes, told me to get the Subaru towed to his shop, and he'd look at it first thing Monday morning. Then he called me by 9:00 a.m. Monday, saying I needed a new clutch and assembly. The price? About $1,600 or several hundred less than the dealer rate. Kon had it fixed by 4:00 that afternoon so I could drive back to Calgary the same day I'd originally planned. It's two months later, and the clutch is doing fine. I've already recommended Kon to family and friends in Vancouver. The guy and his team are honest, hard-working, and friendly.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We've had our Subaru for 12 years and have ONLY brought it to Kon, same as the original owner. I've done tons of work on my own project cars, including engine swaps and custom work, but trust my family's daily driver to Kon. Too honest for his own good! I wish he had a shop twice the size so he could have twice the staff, only because I want him to reap the rewards of being awesome.

Was maybe fifteen seconds into a call, asking if I could make an appointment, before I was being yelled at for, "not properly taking care of my car," despite their not knowing anything about my car or my situation. Thank you for saving me from any future insanity by immediately demonstrating how horrible of a person you are.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had our brakes done here with our 2006 Honda Odyssey. Our neighbor whose a AC mechanic recommended him. They known each other for 20 years. Honest man. My husband said Kon had a honest price we got a quote Friday then decided to go with him on Monday. Brought in got it fixed by afternoon we picked up. Keep in mind he's old school his reception area is very messy but he does his best to do without receptionist. His 1st language is Cantonese but he speaks other languages other than English with a thick accent. Sometimes you just need to repeat to clarify.
