I had a good experience with Rose on the phone to set up service. At least you get to speak with a human very quickly and she was helpful to explain the options. Just want to leave SHAW and hopefully this works out! Prices are much better

Dealing with Chrisse Ramos (and earlier with Gabriel) was a smooth process over the phone. There was a bit of a wait till the Shaw installer arrived to do the hookup, due to their busy schedule but he was also very capable. I chose the 1 year plan with one month free (25mb download). So far the speed / connection is good.

Called to inquire about service, had Jerome help me. He was really nice and clear at explaining. Told him I’ll have to call back to set up the service. He provided his extension #. I called back (twice), looking for him. Was told by other people that he was on lunch (5pm ET). I left messages but he never called back. So I finally set up the service with someone else. The person promised to call me in 3 days to follow up. He NEVER called back EITHER. When I received the Modem, I hooked it up by myself. It worked but speed was very slow. A couple days later I received an email from Altima saying my internet activation date was scheduled for Oct 24th (today). I was confused, so called to check whether my service had been activated or not. The girl I spoke to confirmed that my service had not been activated yet and they couldn’t change the activation date. Asked her why I had internet service while my service hadn’t been activated. The explanation she gave was that I was using the β€œresidual” from my previous provide. Even confused as I was, I trusted her and patiently waited (6 days) for my service with Altima to be activated, hoping the speed would be faster. Today has passed, nothing happened... my online account still shows β€œaccount status” as blank. Very disappointed. We had used them 2 years ago, was pleased with their service at that time. That’s why we came back. But didn’t expect that the service had gone worse, yet price higher (they didn’t used to charge device rental nor activation fee, nor shipping charges of the device). BTW, despite having had an account before, we had to set up a different account to restart this time.

Gabby from Altima Telecom was wonderful. She explained everything very thoroughly, was very patient and even after I was connected she gave me a follow up call to make sure that everything is fine. Great customer service much more than I was expecting. Will definitely recommend others to join this company

Been using this service since 2018 and it's been semi stable but I agree there are inconvenient dead time where my service will be out for 20-30 mins in the late evening. And the customer service is just wow. Wondering what their policys are because there can't be much quality control going on. I've worked in over the phone jobs my entire life. if I was supervising these people based on any phone interactions I've had with this company every single person would fail basic quality control and basic knowledge of customer service. Seems to be a Rushed and loud environment with minimal phone and general training. Hey guys, Do you need a new team manager? I'm available.

Been with them for 3 years, they just use Shaw infrastructure so it's decent. Prices get increased with no warning. If you ever need help with anything, you might as well just switch providers because customer service is non-existant.

They were very good in the initial setup and I was pleased with the service and speed since then. However, the only reason I went with Altima is because of their low price. Now that I've been with them 6 months, the price has gone up $11 per month from $44 to $55 for the 30 speed. Their website says "no tricks", but clearly this is not true. I will immediately be looking for a new provider.
