Core 26 Hot Yoga

We teach the traditional Hot Yoga series featuring 26 beginner postures, or asanas, and two breathing exercises.

The Core 26 series is designed to heal the body systematically through performing the asanas in a set sequence. Each posture stretches and strengthens specific muscles, ligaments, tendons and joints needed for the next posture. Our method also stimulates the organs, glands, and nerves, moving fresh oxygenated blood throughout the body. This helps restore all systems to a healthy working order.

What are the benefits?

Core 26 will help you lose weight, build muscle tone, enhance your well-being and peace of mind. It has been shown to relieve back problems, chronic pain, depression, insomnia, digestion problems, high blood pressure, arthritis, and more.

Although the main emphasis is on alignment and safety of postures, the class is very challenging. You will have to make demands of yourself. It requires tremendous concentration and careful listening to the teacher’s precise instructions.

Just started at studio 26. I love it, it's been a week since I came to my first class and I was looking forward to my next class all week long. The front staff is nice and the instructors are patient with a newbie and accommodating. It's nice to have an account set up for a mat rental, water, and towel services. It's also nice to cool down with a real fruit popsicle after class. And of course as the name suggests it, it gets really hot. Good place to clear my mind, reset, and get my sweat on.

I've been going to Studio 26 off and on for 9 years. The studio cleanliness, consistency, availability of showers, and style of hot yoga keep me coming back for more. The 90 minute Bikram style hot yoga and the condensed 60 minute 'Fix' classes are one of the only things I've found to release the tension that builds up in my neck, shoulders, and upper back. The Bikram yoga is a more 'militant' and regimented style of yoga that provides great stretching while improving overall fitness and cardio. It's more than just chill meditative stretching - it's a workout! Booking is convenient through the Mind Body app and staff provide great support and instruction for beginners and veterans alike.

Signed up for an evening Yin Yoga class, but noticed that of the 8 or so people in attendance, most were not wearing a mask at all, and one lady had a gross, persistent wet cough. I can't think that this is a good combination with movement, deep breathing and warm, moist air. I didn't feel safe and won't be returning. I wasn't offered a refund either, just a shrug and "okay". I'm really disappointed. Edit: the business has given a very nice reply, but avoided a response as to why the person with the cough was not removed from the class, as per the health guidelines they quoted.

I truly love Studio 26 and will forever recommend it to anyone in Winnipeg interested in trying out hot/warm yoga! I just finished a 30-day yoga challenge and it was such an amazing experience feeling so welcomed into the Studio 26 yoga family. Everyone at this studio is so friendly, the owner is very professional and knowledgeable, and there are tons of different classes to choose from for people of every skill level! They also have two wonderful in-house registered massage therapists which is a huge bonus for anyone who wants to get a massage before or after class :) I’d give this spot a 6th star if I could. Stop by, talk with the people there and you’ll quickly fall in love with this place too!

I arrived for my first class at Studio 26 recently and was welcomed by all. It's a beautiful facility with even better staff! I love it, am so happy to have come and have and will recommend to friends and those in need of an amazing experience :)

Best hot yoga in Winnipeg! The classes are safe and welcoming for all ages and fitness levels. Oh, and the change rooms are super nice! Huge private showers, lounge area, plants, blow dryer, filtered water ON TAP! Oh, and once you’re all dressed up and hydrated the yoga is amazing and so fun.

Best yoga studio in Winnipeg. Classes for restorative if injured, 90 mins hot ? room if wanting a challenge, 60 min if needing a quick fix. Friendly, safe environment with a huge bathroom and reception area for safe social distancing. Stop using covid as an excuse not to do the right thing for your achy body! Try the one month deal for first timers!

Wonderful place to practice yoga! The staff are friendly and helpful during class. They offer classes in both hot and room temperature and it can be done by anyone at all levels! I feel refreshed within 24 hours of doing a Core 26 class. Highly recommended. Also have other non-yoga classes available in their new second studio. Very clean atmosphere as well.
