I went to my first class today, it was my first time ever doing that and I loved it. The owner is very welcoming, she gives a tour to everyone. The place is not only gorgeous but has such a good vibe, like a peaceful heaven. The instructor was really good as well.

I attended my first class at Yoga Public South Studio in January 2020 after purchasing a 2-week intro pass and had such a wonderful experience. I have been attending regularly since then and thoroughly enjoy every class. I have participated in the Detox Flow (Kelly), Yin and Relaxation (Becky), Relaxation and Nidra (Becky), and Vinyasa Flow (Adrienne) classes and have enjoyed all of them. The instructors are all so wonderful and caring. I really enjoy the addition of touch that Becky adds to her classes, Adrienne's melodic and soothing voice, and Kelly and Becky's use of essential oils during classes and the inspirational meditations and positive, encouraging messages that all of the instructors use. The classes are smaller and intimate and the instructors take the time to get to know the participants. I always feel positive and relaxed after classes here. The classes can be booked on the Mind Body website or phone app and it's super easy. I love the variety of classes offered, from restorative to more active vinyasa flows, at different times in the day, evenings and weekends so that there is something for everybody. The facilities are brand new, beautiful and modern and have a spa-like atmosphere. I feel an instant sense of serenity and calm when I walk into the studio. The studio has beautiful hardwood floors, lots of plants, large windows, and images of trees and nature on the walls. The temperature is always warm and cozy. I love that the mats, blankets and props are all provided (no need to bring anything with you)! The changing rooms are fully stocked with towels, straightener, and hair dryer and had a shower. There are small lockers to store your belongings and locks are provided. There was also a smaller meditation room with large windows looking outside, a yoga mat and some meditation pillows. It is a peaceful space. They also serve complimentary tea in the lobby. I am looking forward to continuing to attend classes here!

This studio is on the higher end of the practice and aesthetic spectrum, and that is refreshing and needed, especially in Winnipeg. Very professional staff and owner, challenging and accessible practices, therapeutic and authentic yin classes, a sincerely warm and welcoming atmosphere. Overall this is a great studio to join or visit if you intend to grow your soul and enhance your journey of movement and breath, or you just need an hour for yourself or to find some joy on a day where joy and a smile might be needed.

I love this studio. Their evening classes are at a perfect time to wind down and still make it home for a cup of tea. The instructors are friendly and knowledgeable and make me feel welcome. I enjoy coming to this studio and feel confident in my practice more than ever before.

Overall, my experience with the studio has been great. I bought some passes because I can't commit to a monthly pass over the summer, but the quality of instruction is great. I have tried classes with most of the instructors. Some are absolutely excellent at welcoming newcomers to yoga practice and others could be a bit more mindful about how they approach new students. It would be nice to see more diversity in body types teaching yoga and possibly a class meant for beginners or those recovering from injuries since it can be difficult to keep up with a class moving so quickly. There has been a couple of times when I have found the studio a little too hot for a studio that does not claim to be hot yoga. I am also a little confused about policies about appropriate attire since I have attended a class where a male individual was practicing topless. All the other participants remained clothed, male identifying or not. It would be nice if that could be clarified, because in all honesty, if his bare chest can be out, why can't mine? Or alternatively, since we're all students in a public studio, maybe we should all be covered? I would recommend exploring the classes and the instructors to find the right fit. For example, I love classes instructed by the studio owner who is inclusive and great at scaffolding poses for all levels. There are a few other instructors have a very warm and nurturing approach to their practice that have made me feel very comfortable whereas some instructors offer a very specific kind of practice that you seem to need to be experienced in. This is my first experience visiting an actual yoga studio and I would highly recommend it. Clean and very well socially distanced. I feel safe there.
