The service itself is good as it allows you to send packages express even when UPS and FedEX can't do it in time. However, the customer service was too dry, no interest in talking to the customer whatsoever. Felt like the staff was either not treated well or just not chosen well.

After having Canada Post tell me that I could not ship a large painting to Iqaluit, Nunavut due to sizing (it was 0.5 inch too wide), I went to Air Canada Cargo. When I called to make a booking, I spoke with a Vic, who was extremely helpful. He walked through the process, looked at shipping / flight dates, and worked with his team to ensure I got the appropriate rates as he wanted to make sure I was not over or under charged. After getting my booking number, I dropped off the painting at their office location. The gentleman there double checked the rate and everything. He was very friendly and professional. The best part, I dropped off the painting on a Friday evening and it arrived in Iqaluit to my customer the following Thursday!!!!! Quick, awesome, friendly, and professional!!

Reasonable, courteous and quick... I had a 45" x 20" x 19" plastic bin shipped from Calgary to Jamaica it was there and ready to be picked up next day. DHL took 2 weeks to get there and clear customs with a much smaller package, what a nightmare.

Amazing service They go out of their way to help you get sent what you need to sent. It's not a straightforward as you think. There are regulations around different types of shipments. For me it was an animal. They made me feel like Calgary was a small town and everyone helps everyone

They damaged our expensive air freight, denied our claim and then a 30 year customer service employee of the company sent patronizing and rude emails when we fairly asked specifically why our claim was denied and what we could have done to prevent the damage. This was the first time we had ever used AC for air cargo and we ship a LOT of air cargo. Normally we use other airlines and there are never any problems. With AC, there were nothing but problems. I could actually understand if they need to deny our claim based on some written policy given by the company, regarding packing standards. But I was very disappointed after our further communication with their customer service department. They did not answer our questions but were instead rude, insulting and dismissive. It seems that they do not have any written policies regarding damage and everything is done according to how someone is feeling that day. But why try to be cordial and have good customer service skills when you are already a lifer employee, probably with a very good pension, working for a company that is being protected by the federal government? I guess if anything bad happens then the company will just receive another billion dollar bailout from taxpayers. Shameful! This was the worst customer service I've ever experienced. We will never, ever use AC again.

This is a review of the people at the terminal in Calgary. They were friendly and helpful and understood the stress of having an animal shipped across the country. The people taking calls in the Ontario call centre on the other hand…markedly the opposite.

A simple shipment turned into an administration nightmare! Shipped 400lb shipment from Calgary to Terrace BC Priority over night. Air Canada Failed to flag the shipment in Calgary. Shipment got stuck at Vancouver because Terrace BC Airport was unable to support the weight to take the shipment off the plane. At first, Air Canada refused to say they messed up and apologize. Air Canada wanted us to pay for a truck to pick it up and deliver to terrace BC. Then, after about 6 hours, they agreed they had failed to flag the weight in Calgary and agreed they would arrange a truck - complimentary. We delt with a few very friendly Air Canada Employees out of Vancouver/Toronto. Then, we did not hear back from Air Canada to say the shipment was transferred to truck. After the weekend passed without hearing back from Air Canada, we found out that they phoned our customers in Terrace, BC and got our customer to pick up from Vancouver (15 hours of driving one way). Air Canada Did not notify us that the shipment was picked up or that they inconvenienced our customers. Air Canada then changed our shipment in their system to only read that the shipment was only ever going from Calgary to Vancouver. They showed that are customers picked up from Vancouver in the priority shipping time. They also then told us $918 (original cost paid) was the correct amount from Calgary to Vancouver. We got no discount offered and paid full price for Calgary to Terrace, BC AND we lost a priority customer.
