Vacation Nightmare, worst customer service phone call I got. I traveled with Air Transat to Europe before. The price is cheap and service was good. However, when I tried to book my vacation this year, I chose Air Transat vacation over Air Canada because it was cheaper. However, the service I got from Air Transat was so much worse than Air Canada. When I book the vacation package, on the website, it says "Only 2 Room left at this price", so I booked my vacation immediately. However the label on the website is a completely LIE! Do not believe it when you saw the label. After I book the vacation and came back in 2 weeks, it supposes to be at most 1 room left since I booked the one of last 2 rooms, however, on the website, it still says "Only 2 Room left at this price". That label is pure static. I want to cancel my vacation since I decide to go with Air Canada Vacation instead (better service and better deal). I put down my deposit of $310 for 2 people. However, the cancellation fee is $250 per person, which is $500 in total. If I just left my deposit where it is, i pay less money. However, I think Air Transat sold my info to those third-party debt collector company and I got the RUDEST customer service phone call ever. The lady on the phone was so bad. I told her I was not going to go and I don't want to cancel because the cancellation fee was higher than than the deposit. However, the lady was like "I don't care. Call the phone number in the email we sent to you." (Not exact words, but something like that.) So I hang up. Tip: try to avoid Air Transat vacation as much as possible. Air Canada and West Jet has better service.

I feel the need to share what Iโ€™m currently experiencing with you guys so you donโ€™t fall in the same trap. I booked flights with Air Transat on June 8, 2020 and they were cancelled on June 11, 2020. 3 days later. In an email, it said flights would resume by July 22, 2020 but in their website, there is no flight to my destination until November, 2020. Air Transat has refused to refund my money for my flight on July 3 to July 31, 2020 and has only given me a voucher for the value I spent with an expiration date. Westjet is flying to my destination on July 7, 2020 but my money is tied up in a voucher with Air Transat that I canโ€™t use until November 2020. If Air Transat gave me the refund, I can book and fly with another airline. If I do not book a flight with Air transat before their expiration date, I lose my money. They keep my money unless I travel within their schedule to their limited locations. That doesnโ€™t not seem ethical to me. Iโ€™m not in the financial position to donate money to a million dollar company like Air Transat but they certainly do not care. I may be forced to fly with them one last time and I may be forced to spend even more so I donโ€™t lose my money but I will NEVER use them again. I encourage everyone else to beware of Air Transat as other airlines are offering refunds but Air transat will keep your money, maybe indefinitely if you donโ€™t travel to their chosen destinations as per their schedule. Please donโ€™t end up in the unfortunate situation Iโ€™m in. Have a great night everyone!

They don't send you a boarding pass electronically and will not print your boarding pass if you arrive to their counter checked in when there is one hour left for departure. What's the point of checking in if you have to go to the counter to get your boarding pass? Seats are tiny, and customer service is rude and unhelpful to say the least. They told me that they spoke with the Air Transat staff at the airport and confirmed that no one had come to the counter, therefore I must've gone to the wrong counter! Air Transat really left a stain on our vacation. I reached out to them over social media and was asked to send an email. Not only did they not return my email, but they also deleted my comments to destroy any trace of what had happened. We will NEVER fly Air Transat ever again.

I love this airline. I donโ€™t know why so many complaints. Cost to value this is my favourite airline. They have great customer service (in particular special assistance) and I feel that all their employees are cheerful and always doing their best. If you think about their job they always are managing difficulties that are bound to arise in the process of flying (no matter the carrier) and I feel they are great at their job. I always check their flights before I do a kayak/Skyscanner search. Good work air transat!

Do NOT fly with Air Transat. I cannot stress this enough. While the cheaper prices may be enticing you pay for it in how you are treated if anything in the slightest goes wrong. A big difference in why their pricing is cheaper is that they do not have their own baggage staff; they contract baggage service out to another company whereas other airlines (ie. Air Canada and Westjet) have their own staff to load the bags on the plane. I had an awful experience with Air Transat. Our flight was expected to leave at 10pm. Boarding was delayed until about 2am. We were then invited to board the plane, where we sat on the tarmac until 6am with minimal food and water. We were then told the flight would be cancelled and rescheduled. Why? Because the baggage staff never showed up for their shift. Besides a measly $20 for airport food (which let's face it, barely gets you anything), Air Transat did not pay or do anything to support the emotional, financial, and physical distressed caused by their inability to provide a work environment where people actually will show up for work.

I would never recommend Air Transat, I actually am very vocal about my distrust for this airline. They damage your suitcases (Happened to myself and a friend on 2 separate flights from the same destination) and offer nothing as compensation. They will also revoke your pre-booked seats. This was especially irritating as I have a disability and needed the seat with the leg room, and made sure to book ahead of time. in the seat they forced me to sit in, the stewardess as well as other passenger repeatedly kicked my injured foots. the airline was completely dismissive in dealing with this issue. They only want your money, customer service means nothing to them. when you call to book a flight they answer in seconds. when u get transferred to customer service you wait 30-40 minutes. if you leave a message like it suggests they do not call back. If I could give this airline a rating out of 1000 they wouldn't get one point Every time you call customer service it is 40 minute wait and then they rush you off the phone without helping at all, causing me to have to wait on the phone for a total now of 3.5 hours and i have spoken to them for about 15 minutes total. they want you to fill in forms and then send insulting "resolution" to the problems that they have caused for you

We notice everything and your dedicated crew definitely deserve some credit.. thank you!! Update: we are so sorry to hear that Transat had has suspended 3 South destination routes until April 30th. We definitely support and will resume using your services at that time stay safe and best of luck

We've travelled to over 25+ countries in our lifetime and can comfortably say this is one of the most terrible airlines ever. Especially with their completely unfriendly policies amidst COVID. They won't refund your money. They make it extremely difficult to transfer to anyone else. If prices go up for same flight, then you have to pay more but if prices go down (which all flight prices have due to COVID), then they'll keep the extra money and won't give you the refund. Honestly a very frustrating airline to deal with. If we didn't have this credit, we wouldn't even be considering using them at all and even visiting Mexico. Just not worth all the hassle where there are so many other countries you can travel to with literally NO hassle. All in all, if you are in the process of considering Aeromexico with another airline, I can almost guarantee you're better off with the other airline. A simple google of other customer experiences with this airline will show how terrible they've been during this pandemic.
