9 Nails & Spa - Edmonton

I wanted to remove my acrylics and get a regular manicure but instead I got a gel overlay by recommendation of the nail tech. I love it, it actually turned great!

This salon is so clean, the owner and her staff take pride in its appearance. The service is great, they always take their time and the price is so reasonable. From talking with the owner I am confident that the implements used are sanitized properly.

I went to this salon twice. My regular salon was unable to take a last minute appointment and I needed my nails cleaned up for a short notice appointment. The first time was for a shellac manicure and paraffin wax treatment, the second for another shellac mani and this time a pedi as well. The first time I went, the lady was super friendly. We chatted away and it was a pleasant time. I did express concern as the grinding abrasive tool used to take off my previous shellac polish (fully intact apart from grow out) created a high level of friction heat and my nails were actually burning (picture yellow and brown burnt spots) and it hurt!!! I sat through the pain until I couldn't any longer and when I finally said something (jerked my hand back in pain) was told it was burning because of the techniques my usual salon has used. The lady went on and on about her own techniques and how they are far superior etc. (She REALLY went on about this!). However, barely a week after my visit, most of my nails were bubbled at the ends and were peeling off. Given the positive conversational experience I had and the incredible reviews I had read online, I went back a second time (because everyone can have an off day). This time, I saw a different lady who commented right away on the peeled nails. I showed her pictures on my phone dated 8 days after my last appointment and said I have never experienced this before. She went on to argue with me that it couldn't have been done at her salon. When I insisted it had been done at Show, she then said I must not know how to care for shellac. I told her I've had shellac done regularly for 5+ years and its toughness is what I love about it - this bubbling was all new to me. She THEN said it was because of my age. My oils did not allow it to adhere properly!!!! I'm 40 and can't see how my oils could suddenly change in one month to have such an effect. So, I had the mani & pedi done that day which both then lifted and fell off within a couple weeks. I do not pick at my nails. Generally my shellac nails are redone because they grow out, rarely do they chip or peel - and then, it has been a one off, not my entire set. My nails generally get redone monthly and my toes every 3 months and it lasts. My summer pedi (June) was gone before July. While the nails all looked good in that brief space of time, I cannot recommend this salon to anyone who expects a shellac to last longer than polish off the drugstore shelf.

one of the best nail salons in Edmonton, sadly i had to go to a different salon today as i am working and then leaving for the long weekend. getting such a bad job done at a different salon reminded me of how AMAZING of a job they did on my nails last time i went. hands down will be coming again and again. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

I recently started going to this spa and I am so happy with the friendliness and cleanliness. I feel so comfortable and safe with the COVID protocols. My nails look great!

I enjoy going there for my monthly pedicure. I have bad feet from an industrial accident years ago and Kim is always on point keeping my feet in good shape. 100% recommend show nails to anyone

They have a new name, but same great owners. Awesome service, very affordable. Nice clean environment. This is the only place I go for my manicure and pedicure. I have tried many places but have returned here for 8 years now. They are the best!!
