★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great stuff, but the staff need to learn to back off a little. It’s fine asking once if we need any help finding something when we walk in, but we don’t need to be harassed every 5-10 minutes. You can say “fine thanks just looking!” with a smile on your face and they’ll STILL stalk you around the store and make random irrelevant comments about everything you pick up to look at. Normally it’s the guys.. the girls who work there are pretty laid back, but the guys act like their lives depend on getting people to buy something, ANYTHING. I like help, but I don’t need to drown in it!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A guy named Jay greeted my friend and I as we came in, some of the best customer service I’ve ever seen, a very welcoming and chill environment. But just the way he spoke to us was memorable. He really made me feel seen and that can make a much bigger difference than some may think.

I had a employee help me today (October 15) at around 6:30 amazing service and super enthusiastic, the only problem was that I forgot his name and really wanted to give him an amazing review... but his salesperson number on my receipt was ef0611 but overall because of the employee definitely a 5 star

From staff giving extra special attention to my boy on his birthday, to going above and beyond to help us get the products we are looking for-this place is top notch and makes shopping so much easier for me when needing things for 4 boys. Janet is one of THE best managers and treats her customers and staff (you can just TELL) amazingly well. This atmosphere is rare in the retail world nowadays. We love the Zumiez crew @Georgian Mall :)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Staff are selective with who they interact with. Depending on how you're dressed, you can either expect a good experience or be ignored and glared at from across the room.
I tried dressing differently on different days. One day I wore cowboy boots and jeans. That time I was ignored, not greeted and just stared at by staff. Another day, I wore skate shoes, chinos etc. I was immediately greeted and interacted with by the staff. I don't know why a person needs to fit an image to be treated with respect in a clothing store.
Zumiez has a wide selection of skate brands, but you're much better off visiting and supporting a local shop.
