★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have flown a lot of airports as a consultant through the years. I dislike YVR but it's not as bad as Dubai. Only one bar in international departures means it's really bad as no competition, luggage handling is unbelievably slow. Customs and immigration has improved beyond all recognition in the last 5 years and is now great. Getting to car park is still a terrible experience. Horrible security on departure just so unbelievably slow and badly done.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Passing through Security was not as bad as I had thought it would be. But the new procedure of making passengers take out all their toiletries is a bit extreme!
Beautiful airport though!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very quiet travel day today.. no craziness of herds of people walking in all directions. Would like to commend check-in agent Moon for BA84. He was very patient in helping me out sort the challenges i faced this evening. From doing the passenger locator to the printing of the required docs I need at my destination. He REPRESENT.!! Thabk you Moon.!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lovely airport. Quick and efficient also to get through security is quick. Plenty of shops and fast food restaurants. If you have expensive tastes then the bar and grill is for you. We left from departure D. The gates are well numbered.

Uts feels like a museum not an airport.
Also the arrival process is the best I have experienced. Been there 4 times and the process is still so fast.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Flown through here twice. The international side is extremely pretty and feels very welcoming. The domestic side however is nothing special really. That said service is pretty straight forward and quick on the domestic side. All in all it's one of the better Canadian airports. Would recommend flying out of or into YVR. At the end of the day though, you'll end up flying wherever there's a good deal ?
