We were at Stony Plain Superstore and we had called Co-op Taxi. We were told they were going to be 15 minutes so we headed outside to put our cart back and wait by the curb. There was a yellow cab there and he asked if we were needing a cab. We told him we had called a different cab and he said no no he would take us now. We had to put our cart back so it took us a few minutes. I do not move fast Γ‘s I do have health problems. So we finally get our bags into the trunk and he called dispatch to let them know he picked us up. The woman was angry and told him he had to put us out. They had words and next thing we know we were being put out. Oh and apparently it was our fault because we took to much time to get into a cab we had not even ordered. Thank goodness I had not yet cancelled the cab we had called. He was parked right behind the yellow cab we had just been turfed from. I will NEVER use yellow cab if I have the choice.

I find the Yellow Cab of Edmonton efficient; I can call from my phone and it recognizes my address and dispatches a cab quickly (with location services). I have always felt safe. They accommodate my walker. They are slightly more professional than other driving/ride companies. I find their rates very competitive.

The driver I just had for a trip that should have taken me 10-15 minutes ended up taking me 40. He told me to pay before running into shoppers because he ended the meter. Then I said I'd be quick and he said he would be waiting. I literally ran in for my 1 item and 1 minute later was outside and he was gone. I waited for a little bit in hopes he was gonna show up. But had to call for another driver and wait for them. Also had to pay the additional $3.80 upon entering the cab. This was a very frustrating experience. And super unprofessional.

Really disappointed with my recent experience. My father is in a wheelchair and had booked a taxi to go out to dinner for his birthday. The trip there was fine, but when it came to the return trip, that turned into a nightmare. His return trip was booked for an hour later, which soon proved not to be enough time. We called to ask about rebooking and were rudely told to call back when we were ready. About 15 minutes later, we called and were told the wait time was up to 3 hour. While we waited, we called every other transportation service we could find and they either didn't have wheelchair taxis, or we were quoted the same wait time. After close to an hour and a half, we called back to check in and were informed there were currently no wheelchair taxis available anywhere in the city. It was already over an hour past when the restaurant closed, and there was nothing nearby, so we ended up loading my father into my car - which was unsafe and uncomfortable. The city needs better options for accessible transport. Leaving people with disabilities stranded for hours is unacceptable. Clearly there is demand for more wheelchair taxis that needs to be met.

Needed a cab in the morning to get to work because car wouldn't start. Would yellow cab answer the call? No, but their robot answering machine did. 30 minutes later no cab. Called them again, forced getting through to an operator. At least the human gave an ETA. Turns out I'd be waiting an additional 30 minutes. Cancelled the order. Total waste of customers time to make them wait an hour and give no ETA. People need to get places on time or a cab is useless.

I have to take a minute to thank Yellow Cab for the consideration of their telephone dispatchers in providing me with a wheelchair taxi when I require one; and also to thank the wheelchair taxi drivers who have looked after our requirements. My mother (95 years of age) recently suffered a stroke which has left her dependent on a wheelchair. This is all a new experience for us; I am a senior as well, and to suddenly find myself at the mercy of online scheduling, and not having faith that my transportation needs would be met, it was wonderful to find that Yellow Cab really do have people in the background to talk to me. When I call for a wheelchair taxi, it is because my mom has a scheduled medical or optical appointment, we are not merely going for a ride, and it is great to know that YC will do everything they can to ensure we are there on time, as long as we provide sufficient notice. Thank you dispatch and operators!

Most of the time it's friendly customer service, love how you can save money and how quick, easy and secure it is to book online, if your paying cash at night or debit make sure you have a deposit ready for the driver. Don't like the fact that SOME drivers don't wait for at least 5mins when asked and even when your willing to pay. But I use this company also cause the cabs are well maintained and clean. Very nice when they help you with bags and open the trunk when needed.

always good service from the drivers. You can rate them as well. Ive been using yellow cab for a few years now. If you need a pet friendly ride talk to the dispatcher. The phone service should be a little easier, maybe talk to dispatch by pressing zero right away, or by saying dispatch.
