★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This was the first time I visited this salon and my experience was awesome. Everyone here is very friendly, kind and caring for their customers. They are very hygienic as they use a new file for every person. The only thing is that they didn’t ask what type of nails I wanted (solar, gel, dip powder), but luckily she gave me the kind I wanted anyways.
I love my nail shape and how they really took time to perfect it, making sure I liked it along the way.
I regret not coming here sooner haha

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I got my nails done here literally not even a day after they started hurting so bad because of the way that they balance the nails and acrylic when it is not balanced properly can damage your natural nail. I went back expecting them to just be able to redo them in a couple of weeks whenever they felt better and I was surprised to get a response of a screaming manager calling me and my mother names they said that the only thing they could do is redo them right now which wasn’t good because my nails were hurting and my natural nails were damaged from their nails being put on and if I wanted to come back in a couple weeks the best they could do was give me a 20% discount. Was absolutely not impressed with this place this was a little while ago but I am just now writing a review because I just now found out how . On top of having Nails that were literally going to rip off my natural nails there was staff while I was getting my nails done talking badly about the person behind me and her lip injections I literally wanted to tell them to stop doing my nails and tell that girl that she should not be coming back to the place.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Received a nail fill from Jessie. She did the most amazing fill I’ve received to date. The shape was perfect, they were nice and thin. Jessie was efficient, professional and attentive to my needs. I’ve tried many mail technicians, Jessie will be the one I book with going forward. Thank you Jessie I love my nails!

My mom and I went in to get Pedicures together on the weekend.
I decided I did not want color on my nails as i wont be coming in regularly and did not want to have to come back to take the shellac off once my nails grow out.
A usually appointment is around an hour. The lady who did my feet took 20 MINUTES!!!!
She rushed through every part of my session, she used an electric sander that I said hurt multiple times, she didn't even bother to hand buff my feet and get all the callus off. She barley cleaned or shaped my nails, and gave maybe 2 minutes of a massage.
I assumed that since I was not getting polish done that they would spend more time on each step with me, but boy was I wrong. She rushed off and went to another client after 20 minutes of me sitting in the chair.
The man doing my moms nails did a good job and took just over 40 minutes to do her pedicure as she as well was not getting nail polish.
The only reason i am not giving a 1 star is because i previously went in a couple months ago and had my nails done, and they looked pretty good.
Safe to say, I most likely will not be back to this salon. $40 for a pathetic 20 min pedicure is absolutely unacceptable.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I went to this salon in December right before my Christmas holidays to get gel polish on my natural nails. I went out of the city the following day and later that evening had noticed one nail chipped. Within three days my nails were completely chipped. I went back to this place to have them fixed which was free of charge. Yet again I had the same issue happen that same night ?♀️ Never have I had gel polish chip so quickly, needless to say I will not be recommending this place to anyone or returning. Waste of my time, and money this place is over priced for such cheap quality.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Worst experience I’ve ever had. I came in to get a gel manicure and asked Kim (the nail technician) to fix my two broken nails.Kim basically ignored me and just nodded, but didn’t apply any glue or make any attempt to fix them. On top of that she cut my cuticle open.
Extremely packed, NO COVID measures, all the chairs were full and next to each other, the staff had their masks half on.
I came back not once but twice to ask them to fix my now 3 broken nails, the “manager” who was a man was extremely rude and unprofessional. He talked over me with a raised voice and told me that my cut was and I quote “nothing” and that the broken nails were “my fault”. When I told him I was wasting time coming back here for a service I originally asked for he told me “you’re wasting our time too”. XO nails is the most unprofessional nail salon I’ve been to in all of yyc. Avoid, not worth it. You will be met with attitude/bad nail techs that don’t care if they damage your nails/ horrible customer service/ bad COVID measures.
