Excellent place for a coffee, breakfast, brunch, or lunch! Stopped by on Sunday for brunch with the family and it was great!

We have had food here before for take out and it was amazing. Unfortunately today we ordered take out for lunch and it was not. Beef melt with soup and grilled chicken and cheese wrap with honey mustard and fries. The wrap was dry, the chicken was fried not grilled and there was no honey mustard in sight. The fries where stone cold. Not seasoned at all and look like they where 2 days old. The beef melt was OK the bun was nice, but the beef was really dry. Almost hard to swallow. The only good part was the soup. It was really good. I will try there again in hope the food is much better and change my review. But as of now fast food would have been a better choice. :(

I've been going here off and on for years and in the past, I would have given this place 4 or 5 stars. But not the last couple times weve gone. The menu is boring & uninteresting, and the food now is average, or just a shade above. And this pains me to say, but the service wasn't anywhere what it used to be. Too bad, since I used to love the mom and pop feel for this place, plus the food used to taste like home cooking. Now it's just..... boring and same old. Not sure I care to eat here anymore.

Finally stopped in at the Wooden Nickel for breakfast after many drive pasts on route to Kelowna. The place was quaint with a surprisingly good number of tables. Ordered coffee and the breakfast special. Service for the initial cup of coffee was fast however refills were far and few between and the price for a cup was quite expensive. More than I’m used to paying from a cafe. Service was on the slower side, not exceptionally friendly ( had a sign on the door seeking wait staff). When the breakfasts came our coffees were not refilled, only once we were done eating were they refilled. The breakfast was basic but tasty. I was disappointed that they served deep fried hash brown patties and not homemade potato hash browns. They did have homemade sourdough toast that was good. I can now officially say I tried it but will not be a repeat customer for breakfast.

Perfect cozy breakfast and lunch diner that gives off that small town dinner vibe. Their homemade sourdough bread is great with the breakfast meals, and the service and aesthetic is great!

I love this little spot. The reno before covid has given it a fresh face, and the food has always been consistently good and well priced. Please consider eating here before choosing a chain restaurant - support local!
