stop donating to ?Wildlife? thrift store and donate SPCA instead because" - that place is managed and possibly owned by that meanest woman who never saw civilisation. that's my point view of her. her eyelashes will chew you before her teeth do. rude rude like "God have no mercy. - all new stuffs. the previous nice ones were let go to make room for the friends and family members. they look bitter... - it is a business uo make money. how do you know how much they give to Wildlife organisations if any. they should make it public what percentage of their sale is actually donated. - the good stuffs always kept to the owner and not for sale. when walking in, you can see the good stuffs on so called balcony. i was there and I asked them the price for a painting. the answer was " it is not for sale" " they are for the owner" who gives the the right to keep donation for him/herself WHY DO WE GIVE THEM ANYTHING? it breaks my heart??? to see your money not going to the right cause??? it breaks my โค how good hearted the Canadian people are and how heartless to see some people taking advantage of us and laugh at us ???? ???? it is about time to stop making the owner richer. your donations should be sold and not given to the owner private collection. the only way they can defend themselves if they make everything accessible to public. PLEASE DโคNATE TO ??SPCA?? it's not what USED used to be.. empty shelves. rude manager and staffs

I loved there. The owner was so helpful. You can try the applienses if they work. Wildlife Thrift Shop, how I adore thee! With it's location on Granville St. Well organized, quality second hand goods and cheerful prices fill the store. You're bound to find one, two, or a dozen things you love ranging from clothes, to books, to furniture, to toaster ovens and everything in between!

This thrift shop at the corner of Drake & Granville St. continues to attract a steady flow of customers as it has done for many years. As is the case at most 2nd hand stores, part of the pleasure of visiting regularly is discovering that one-of-a-kind item. Of course, price is also important, a bargain will set the endorphins flowing. The Wildlife Thrift Store fulfills both expectations, it happens to always have a great variety of clothes for her & him, and some furniture & housewares at very reasonable prices. During these pandemic times, you will be required to bring your face mask, and they will supply with hand sanitizer. Thankfully, their dressing rooms are open, so you can try that item on before you leave the store. Kudos to their staff there, super nice!

I used to really love this store - Iโ€™ve been shopping and donating here since I moved to Vancouver nearly 8 years ago. It makes me really sad to see the price gouging that is happening there now. I used to go in and see plenty of quality items (donated by the people of Vancouver) at very reasonable prices. Now there are still some nice items but because thrifting has increased in popularity over the years (specifically amongst people with higher incomes) they can now sell these donated items at much higher prices and discount them only if necessary. Thrifting is meant to be accessible - in my mind, at least. I used to donate a lot of quality items there but now I canโ€™t in good conscience when I go in and see items priced higher than what was initially paid. Used Ikea items priced well over retail, chipped or incomplete dish sets for HUNDREDS of dollars, well loved clothing and fast fashion brands priced way too high. Occasionally I can still find a pair of shoes at a decent price - probably because I have really small feet. Iโ€™m writing this because Iโ€™d actually really like to continue donating and shopping here. Itโ€™s in a very convenient location for a lot of people - especially if you donโ€™t have a car, like myself. Iโ€™ve asked staff about pricing a couple times but was pretty quickly dismissed. There used to be some really nice people working there who would often give you a little discount if they noticed something was overpriced. For now Iโ€™m going to be donating my things elsewhere. BC SPCA thrift store on Victoria drive is a little out of the way but worth the trip, in my opinion - really nice merchandising too! Take notes!

I enjoy buying books at wildlife. The only reason I wonโ€™t give it five stars is because of my first experience there. My teenager bought a jacket there ( we all had masks on since this was 2021) so we werenโ€™t able to smell the FOUL vomit inducing odour on said item. When we got home and opened the bag, the stench filled the room and I immediately threw it out.I still go there for books and picture frames, yet never risked getting clothes again.

When the Wild Life store opened it was a true and traditional ' Thrift ' store. It's evolved since then. It is definitely a for profit company now. They post where and how much they donate.... Take that total and multiply times three. You'll get a good idea how much this store truly generates..... on a 100% donation based source of donated goods.
