West Vancouver Veterinary Hospital

Whatever you do DO NOT send your pet to West Vancouver Veterinary Hospital. This is now the second time I had to argue with the vet to provide us with proof of medication administered. She administers medication to our Dog Willow but then refuses to provide proof that it was actually administered. They clearly show us at time of visit but for travel purposes we require the documents. This has happened not once but twice now. She will argue with you for 20 minutes and come up with all sorts of excuses as to why she won't do it. None of them logical or ethical. This is the worst experience of my life on the planet with a business. She has now almost destroyed our travel plans because of her incompetence. Prior to arriving at the vet we had everything we needed in terms of instructions for the vet for our travel. Upon arrival we gave those instructions to their staff but the front staff stopped us from delivering those instructions and shared the vet does this every day and knows exactly what the CFIB needs in order to get the stamp of approval for travel. We did not feel confident that they knew what she needed. They also did not inform us that the CFIB was booking two weeks in advance to get the stamp of approval for our dog but thats another issue. Of course when we arrive at the CFIB they shared our vet did not send certificates of medication administered and that we would require that before departure. When we asked her for it she repeatedly said she would not do it and that the CFIB does not need it. After we literally got denied from the CFIB because it was missing. You do not want your pet in thier hands. Right from the front door to the actual treatment you're better off going to another vet. In the 40 years I have been alive I have never seen a case of neglect and unethical business practices as I seen here. We will be reporting to the Veterinary association to get her license revoked.

I adopted my kitten Oscar and I've taken my little Oscar there from day one and they treat him so well I'm definitely a permanent regular they take very good care of all animals highly recommended????

Drove over an hour for this place. Been looking for a doctor that spoke Japanese and was extremely satisfied to say the least. Dr. Masako took her time to answer all of our concerns and the experience was above expectations. Glad to say we've found our new go-to vet!

Very bad experience. Take your pet to another place. Our cat scratched his gum and it got infected. Dr Misako basically told us - I'll give you pain painkillers and antibiotics if you sign up cat for future surgery and tests $$. We took kitty to Another Wet clinic within a mile where he's got a proper rapid treatment that included complimentary vitamin IV, the wound healed withing 2 days. With no BS.

Where to begin. Dr Sandhu and his team were so kind, compassionate and caring to our 2 year old German Shepherd Ember while she battled renal dysplasia during the pandemic. I always felt that we were given appropriate options and at the centre of his recommendations were her well-being and quality of life. We are so appreciative that you handled her reactivity and separation anxiety while trying to treat a complicated medical issue. Thank you for everything you all did for us during this difficult journey, especially the amount of compassion and understanding at the end. Lots of love from the rainbow bridge, Ember ???

Dr Misako has done such a great job helping our 18 year old cat that has hyperthyroidism and kidney disease. We really trust her advice and appreciate the care and attention she gives. You can tell she really loves animals. Our other cat who has extreme anxiety loves going to see her too for his lion cuts. Best vet we have ever been to.

I just want to give a BIG THANK YOU to Dr. Sandhu and his staff for being so amazing with my son Chester. Whenever I call the clinic the staff is extremely kind and accommodating and Dr. Sandhu is so knowledgeable, kind and really takes his time to listen to you and your concerns, you can tell he loves animals!!! I feel very grateful to have found this clinic. Even though I live downtown Vancouver I do not mind driving there because I know Chester is the the best hands. Thank you for all your care and kindness!! I would highly recommend this clinic to anyone!!!

I have been going to this clinic for 8 years for grooming, boarding and veterinary services for my dog. The staff truly care about the animals and provide excellent care! Dr. Sandhu is incredible at ensuring the best treatment is provided for my fur baby! He is honest, patient, and caring. He is excellent at providing easy to follow explanations to test results and reasoning for treatment plan. I really appreciate everything they all do!☺️
