★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Why 3 foods good but no dinner hasn't been in yrs long before covid i see why rude lady then rude kids would not say wai hung restaurant just restaurant one kid said he suggest something no not off the menu suggested i wash my hands i said i will agyer i order kinda cheeky but i straightened himnout as best i could told his i pay you by being their respect and to the boss your attitude is terrible bud i will wash up obviously im eatting with them hands

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ First time ordering. We ordered 7 dishes for about 100.00. Came home and discovered one dish was missng. Very disappointed. Food all tasted old,. Squid was fishy and hard. Seems everything was previously cooked and heated up.

Standard Chinese food, get what you expect, except be blown away by General Tso! And the Kung Pao! Now nom!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I came upon the Wai Heung on a Saturday at around 1:00 pm and it was deserted. They have lunch specials which are traditional non-traditional Westernized favourites but they do have a good menu of more traditional dishes I’ve tried and liked. This time I tried a special - lean sweet and sour pork with fried rice. If you get steamed rice the special is $8.95! $10.95 if you have it with fried rice. A little on the sour scale but it’s probably the best sweet and sour on the island (which granted doesn’t say much as the Chinese food in Victoria isn’t fantastic). I thought the food was fresh and excellent. I’ll be back again. Very clean inside and the service prompt and polite. Of course I was the only on there at the time!
