I ordered shanghai chow mein & ginger fried beef and I can honestly say it was the most disappointing Chinese food I've ever had. It was ridiculously spicy and after a few bites you can't feel your mouth. Would not recommend

Well It was my first time to order here. I let her know and I was ripped off bad. I ordered $47.00 worth of food and I picked up because it is faster. When I picked up the 2 bags it was very light weight. I said are you sure everything is in here? she said oh yes its all here. I get home with hungry guests and I discovered 2 items sweet and sour pork and fried rice were in tiny plastic containers that were only single serving size, only held mabey 6 ounces and I was charged the price you would expect to get a bigger round tin foil pan size. The 2 items I was charged over $17.00 and I went back and demanded my money back for the 2 items. The lady was so rude and said thats what you get It took 10 minutes of arguing that it was unacceptable. She refused to give me a full refund and finally handed me only $10 dollars and told me to never come back. Which I never will order from there again. The chicken on the chowmein was not real chicken. Lunchmeat rubbery crap. It was to greasy and not very appetizing at all. So disappointing I will stick to my usual at the Red Lion inn. It is amazing and your bags are very heavy for less.

First, they are cash only and take out and delivery only. Often the food at Chinese restaurant is indistinguishable from another; that's not the case here, their food has its own character. It's tasty, the portions are a good size and they don't scrimp on meat as often happens with Chinese restaurants. Good prices, too. Unless you like grease keep away from the fish and chips.

Good food but you wouldn't think so walking in. The fried rice is nice and light. The chow mein Cantonese style is great (nice noodles) but the beef they used was ground beef not strips of beef like I'm more familiar with. The mushroom chow mein was good and tasty. The portions are huge.

We have ordered from New Village for many years and the quality is still there. Less ginger than in the past but they are fast, efficient and the price is right. They will also do half portions which is great! Some of the best won ton soup in town most definitely and good honey garlic wings. We have also tried the deep fried fish and it is fine.

The worst chineese food I ever had in B.C. They don't even used real chicken in the fried rice and the chow mein. It's cold cut chicken cut in cubes and lanyard. The sweet and sour pork was tasteless . They don't even give you chopsticks with your take away orders. I wish there was a no star option for this restaurant.

Not worth it. Very cheap ingredients. Not real chicken meat. We ordered a combo meal with: chicken fried rice. Only has a few green onions with little cubes of fake starchy chicken. The rice is flavored with soy sauce. Chicken chow mein Noodles are cheap quality too soft and strings of fake chicken. And only a few sweet and sour pork with very bland sauce and it does not even have pineapple bits to enhance the flavor. Not worth 14 bucks at all.

Pretty good Canadian Style Chinese food. We ordered the Cantonese style chicken chow mien, S&S Pork, BBQ Fried rice and New Village chop suey. Yes, it’s processed chicken on top of the chow mien but not unlike any other Canadian Chinese food you’d get anywhere else. Over all the flavours are good and you get 10% off if you pick up and pay cash. The pick up area, and entire restaurant for that matter, could use some paint and a refresh. I would recommend for take out Chinese food.
