Every time I call they answer then I'm on hold forever. I stopped going there but I have now that I need a social worker. Still taking forever to actually speak to a social worker. I need one from there so they can connect with my doctors at the university of Ottawa about going to rehab for a 90 day treatment. Also since they unionized barely any indigenous staff. Their site program is supposed to be confidential!! It's not!!! I know I used to go there.

I am a registered community member here, The People who are working the ground level - with the People- I am so very thankful for all the work you do. Weather its in the physical health, mental health, emotional health and or spiritual health. You are glue to this community. I am grateful for the space and the potential it holds for community. I was extremely impressed of the role this centre plays for our community and was happy to have an indigenous person to talk who was a professional. Since it at the opposite side of town I have been there just a few times (once per month). I am proud that there is a centre like this available.

I wish it wasn't in such a rough area of town. As a person in recovery this is an area of town that I avoid. And now with the construction it is even worse. You have further to walk through the zombie apocalypse in Vanier. Wabano is also missing it's own parking lot.

This place has saved my life in more ways than one. I would like to say a BIG thank you to every staff member in every department. I'm also including the custodians each time I go at the Center the place is spic and span ?

There are a lot of bad reviews. And it is sad. But there are some amazing people that work at wabano. Who really care about the clients that go there. The five stars is for them. The counselor who see you even when they are just about to go home. The medical receptionist who squeezes you in. The doctor who actually listens. That is what makes wabano great.

Too far away for folks living in Kanata, very rough part of town, it is not wheelchair friendly at all, they never return your calls at the medical center after you leave your name & number and as if all that wasn't bad enough, I didn't feel as though I was getting good medical care. The building looks pretty but the looks are not why I was looking to attend.
