Very disappointed both as a taxpayer and as a user. The phone connection was dropped during the consultation. I was not called back and there was no way for me to reconnect without making a second appointment and, most likely, with a different doctor. We need better oversight of these telehealth companies. Right now they just seem to be removing Doctors from family practice and charging the MSP for incomplete consultations. A complete waste of my time and taxpayers money.

Waited an hour and a half for the doctor to show up, and nothing… I understand the testing procedures and I have been very compliant but the fact that you are forced to do this for travel and a doctor doesn’t even show up is beyond frustrating. Please understand that people actually plan their entire travel schedule around appointments like this. NEVER BOOK WITH THESE PEOPLE… not to mention that they have no customer service to be able to notify a doctor that forgot about an appointment. Isn’t this against Doctor Code?

*updated* Someone contacted me and resolved. Thank you. Doctor was lovely, caring and on time and super easy to book. - 5 star double check the fax number of the pharmacy- it auto filled from their drop down menu and they were faxing to the wrong number.

This place is run like a scam call center in India. Doctors have no regards for people's time. They forget to fax your prescription to the pharmacy. They call you for an appointment if they want to or they just don't even call without any notice. If call drops during appointment, no call backs. I bet you MSP still gets the bill for incomplete and pointless appointments. And good luck booking another appointment on the same day. Even with appointment times available, the system wont allow you to book a new appointment on the same day unless you cancel the previous appointment. And the system won't allow you to cancel any appointment within 24 hours of that appointment time. So you are stuck in limbo and have to wait another day to get to a Doctor. No way to contact them but e-mail and their e-mails are answered too late to be of any help. Watch how someone from their admin is going to copy paste the same response here just like all reviews. A medical service with no phone line is just shocking. They have the phone lines on Google just for show. I am grateful that Medical services are free in Canada but I guess nothing free can be good.

The doctor never called me. I tried to book another appointment once the doctor didn’t call and it didn’t allow me because it said I had already booked an appointment on the same day. It also didn’t let me cancel since it’s a same day appointment? They also changed my appointment time without notice which made no sense. There’s no way to contact viva care. Please don’t waste your time with these people.

I have had great experiences with your doctors, but your patient communications are subpar.Thirty days after my appointment I still have not received a referral letter for an allied health service as promised. Your office did not fax my prescription to my pharmacy on the day of my appointment as promised (an issue it looks like many people have experienced judging by reviews posted on various platforms). When I inquired, your office emailed an expired (year old) prescription and referral letter. It took 26 more days, a fax, and two appointments just to finally get my up-to-date prescription. A third appointment did not result in my up-to-date referral letter. Multiple phone calls, emails, faxes are a lot of labour just to procure medical files. I followed the suggestion another reviewer posted below and tried another clinic and received the much needed referral letter within minutes after my appointment. I don't know what is going on with your telehealth front desk but I am really disappointed in how hard it was to get basic follow-up materials from your business. I will not be using your services in the future.

I'm surprised by the negative reviews from others. I've had excellent service from these doctors. Mostly I'm seeking only a prescription refill, so it is not complex care. But doctors have been very good about checking other aspects of my health before re-prescribing. And I'm almost always able to get an appointment the same day--a huge benefit over using TelusHealth.

Not sure why the other reviews were so low/negative. I got my regular prescription refilled VERY quick (actual phone call appointment was less than 2 minutes). Was able to get a same-day telehealth appointment and received a call from the doctor within 30 minutes of booking. Faxed my refill prescription to my local pharmacy right away. Saved me the hassle of waiting 2 weeks for the same over-the-phone appointment with my regular, family doctor! They offer "first-available", phone, or video appointments so you can get in asap, or choose a date that works best for you. Note that they don't give specialist referrals or refill controlled substances & narcotics etc.
