★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The current VanCity ad campaign theme during COVID-19 is “open is a good thing” BUT their downtown Victoria location is “temporarily closed”!! I thought an ethically based entity like Vancity would recognize the importance of that branch to the health and vitality of a central business district. And their action forces the many nearby residents to drive or bus to the suburban branches that remain open. Hypocrisy!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I dont even usually post reviews on here but I was treated so RUDELY when I went in there simply to deposit a cheque today AS A MEMBER too. I've never been made to feel as terrible as these folks made me feel somewhere as a customer- let ALONE at my own bank. Thats pretty bad. My home branch is the one by Mayfair and that's a bit of a trek for me since I live right downtown but I guess I'll be making it since I will never go in here again. If they weren't so great at my home branch I would consider closing my accounts here. If you like customer service or being treated with just basic human respect don't go here.
Absolutely pathetic.
