★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I definitely had a bad experience with Giant Victoria.
I had visited their store three times and had settled on purchasing their medium size bike. They said they have two in stock so I said great I’ll come down tomorrow to test ride it, but when arriving the next day they said there was an inventory issue and the bikes were not there.
So I suggested maybe I should test ride a large bike and they said they had one in stock and would build it for me to test ride.
They said they would call me in the morning and confirm the time to come down to test ride it, which they didn’t call me.
So I drove 30 minutes to their store and was told that the large bike was sold overnight on their website. I reminded them that they knew that bike was for me and they were building it so I could test ride it, so why would they sell it to somebody else online.
Very poor customer service and with over 40 bike stores in Victoria I will definitely be finding a different bike store……

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have had a most wonderful experience at Giant Victoria. The staff and particularly the manager, Dylan, made me feel empowered. I have been in the store many times waiting for supply chain issues to make a Giant Revolt Advanced Pro 1 available. Each time I visited the store I was welcomed. I am an older rider and have sometimes experienced “ageism” – not so at Giant Victoria. I felt appreciated with no judgment based on age. The bike’s arrival coincided with my birthday. What a birthday, capped off with Dylan’s expert setup, and his efficient and skillful ability to teach me about new technology . To cap off the experience, Bike Radar chose its Bike of the Year winner for 2022. For the first time, they have chosen a gravel bike. That bike is my Revolt Advanced Pro. Five stars to Giant Victoria and all of their staff!

You'll find me on foot, on a run, or a hike.
I've moved to the island and it's my moment to shine.
Living in Vic, I knew it was time.
On Christmas morning an ornament hung from the tree.
A piece of cardboard with a bike drawn on it....could it be?
I was thrilled to find my bike at the Giant store on Yates.
The fact they had stock, we knew it was fate.
When we walked inside we were greeted by Frankie, a puppy, chillin'.
Quickly the real help came with a man named Dylan.
Long story short, the Liv Alight 2 in slate grey is all mine.
You better believe that im cruising I'm looking fiiiine.
Thank you for your help, I think I'm all set.
But I may stop by to give Frankie some pets.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I bought an Escape 2 Disk model from this store in June 2020. Since then I have ridden this bike for over 3000 KM across British Columbia.
I did the annual service check-up last year, the service was great, and the staff was super friendly.
I usually have ridden it mostly in steep hills and so I had to change the Freehub Body this year and they were super fast in checking the stock availability for the part. I'm so happy with the service at their store and the owner, Tyson, is very supportive.
