Urban Cuts Barber Shop - Calgary

When I got my haircut last week, a barber named Oliver really exceeded my expectations. His cut was clean and it was very professional. When you need to get a haircut, this barbershop will help you. The other barbers were very welcoming.

Great customer service, he really took the time and care to give me the best haircut I've had ever. I got a clean shave and a haircut at a very good price. Definitely the only place I'll be going to for a cut in the future.

Been on the lookout for a decent barber shop to get my hair done right. Found this place through some referrals and have to say i'm very very happy with their level of service. Staff were friendly and very knowledgeable and gave me the exact look i wanted to go for with my hair. Special shout out to the guy who got my hair done- Oliver, i'll be back again for sure. Well this is something I have never run into before. Booking online was easy, 11:00 am. So I get there for 11 and there is one barber with a client in the chair, running late it seems, but there was an option for two barbers so maybe the one is running late. I had chosen Simon as the barber, I mean it was a 50/50, as I had never been there before. So I'm in the waiting area and I have my email confirmation and 10 minutes goes buy and in comes another client. Well this is not looking good for me. At about 11:15 the first client is finished. The barber, who seems nice, asks if I booked with Simon. I say yes. He says Simon will be here in a few minutes. Okay, something came up, Simon is late, things happen. Barber who showed up to work on time takes his next client. So I sit and wait. And wait. And wait. I get up and walk out at 11:45. Simon isn't coming. Simon didn't want to come to work today. Simon had no interest in trying to inform his clients that he isn't coming, or try to make other arrangements, or really do anything from what I can see. I did all the work of booking online and travelling and waiting for a haircut that I was never going to get, and no one was interested in trying to get me one either. I don't know about you but I have to show up to work, and if I'm not going to show up to work I do actually have to let someone know. But here they don't, they don't even have to answer the phone to take your booking. No accountability. Also note it is a wonderful day outside so no bad weather to delay them from showing up on time. So now what I am going to do is bribe my wife with a couple bottles of wine to cut my hair in the kitchen. Now I'm not going to give her both bottles of wine until after my haircut is done, one at most. And I know the haircut isn't going to look great, but its going to look a heck of a lot better than it does now. I can wear a neon 80s hairband to distract from the atrocious job she is going to do. So some personal advice, if you don't have a wife, go get one, you will have a better chance of getting a haircut. Or just don't book with Simon, he isn't going to show up to work.
